Disgusting behaviour by MyCruises on refund

MyCruises (wholly owned by Flight Centre) require up to 12 weeks to refund our payment for 2 flights to Italy and return ($3400). MyCruises never booked the flights due to Christmas holidays and covid-19 and have held our money in their bank account since November 2019 (more than 5 months). In my mind this is fast approaching the point where they should be investigated for “misappropriation of funds”, but the likes of state Consumer Affairs and the ACCC and their peak body AFTA are not interested in pursuing. Maybe I should try the Police.

Not helpful.

We had our cruise package cancelled due to the war in the Middle East, nobody's fault, but the alternative we were offered and agreed to is 7 days shorter. As a compensation MyCruises offered us a balcony cabin with a drinks package. When I checked on the cruise, Greek Islands, with 2 different cruise companies Celebrity were offering this cruise with an upgrade and drinks package included to fill their ship for a cheaper price. We paid My Cruises $1200 extra for a drinks package on our original booking and they state that we get no refund as they put it towards the new cruise. If we had not paid for a drinks package we still would have been given this upgrade for free. Our documents arrived 5 days ago and we leave tomorrow. The delay they said was due to Celebrity but we had their documents sent by mycruises 4 weeks ago. We are very worried how this holiday will go as they have not been very helpful since taking our money.

Canadian Mountains and Alaska.

Recently did a My Cruises trip to Canada Rocky mountains and then ship to Alaska. More than happy with the organization and inclusions. We were lucky to have had Shelly as our guide who did an excellent job. Yes, would recommend.

Hi Roy, Thank you for your fantastic review! We're thrilled to hear that your My Cruises trip to the Canadian Rocky Mountains and Alaska exceeded your expectations. It's wonderful to know that Shelly, your guide, did an excellent job. We appreciate your recommendation and look forward to assisting you with future travel plans. If you have any more feedback or questions, feel free to reach out. Kind Regards, My Cruises

Greedy, Greedy, Greedy

We booked a holiday and paid in full. Due to my husband’s medical problems we had to cancel 50 days prior to travelling. We fully expected to pay cancellation costs. Cost of trip $17,978. Cancellation costs $17,978. I have read all of the 3rd party terms and conditions and they all refund either all or a portion of the money. Leads me to believe My Cruises are keeping it for themselves. Disgraceful. My Reference No. is MYC-41052 Further to my review, Royal Caribbean International have rung twice on 1st and 3rd October asking why we didn't board, and if we will be boarding at the next port. So it seems it was never cancelled. Surely, as we cancelled 56 days ago, if My Cruises had advised the cruise liner we would have got a refund. Totally inept.

Hi Sue, thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry to hear you had to cancel your holiday. Thank you for providing your booking number, our Aftersales team leader will be in touch to discuss further. Kind Regards -My Cruises

MyCruises are useless and a rip off

Mycruises had left many of us Aussie Tourists stranded in Paris as the booked train trip to Barcelona was cancelled due to strikes ( we were notified by the Train. Company but not MyCruises. They say they have a 24 hour hotlne but don't answer it. Most of us booked flights to get to Barcelona out of our own pockets. Then when we arrive at our "Booked" Hotel from our itinery Hotel has no booking. Luckily the Hotel receptionist was brilliant abd helpful and found we were booked at another Hotel. So far out of pocket for flight taxi to airport ( Train was walking distance from Paris Hotel. And 2 Taxis in Barcelona to get to the correct hotel. What a horrid start to our trip. Just hope the remaining Cruise and Athen stay a trouble free. Great work MyCruises answer how about contacting your stressed customers.

Hi Jeannette, thank you for your review. We are thrilled to hear that you had a great time in Japan. Kind regards, My Cruises.

By far the very worst travel agency…

By far the very worst travel agency that we have used. Atrocious communication and continued mistakes. First and last time no matter what they offer! The only positive was My Cruises was a topic of conversation amongst fellow cruisers at meal times, swapping horror stories and poor experiences. Beware, seek an alternative.

Date of experience : April 14, 2023

Hi there, thank you for your review. We apologise for the lack of communication you've received. So we can further investigate, what was your MYC booking reference? Kind Regards -My Cruises

Poor Customer Service and Arrogance in Communication

On booking our cruise we were told we would have choice regarding flights. No! Told these were the flights - no choice of airline or route. It took two weeks of almost constant emails before we given options. Zero customer service and the level of arrogance in the communications was extraordinary. Our cruise has been cancelled due to the tensions in the Middle East, we received an email telling us that they were finding another cruise. I would have thought that a customer focused company would asking the customer what their preferences were instead of an email telling me that: "Right now, our Cruise Experts are in the process of amending the elements of your holiday package and are working towards a rebooking solution that will allow you to enjoy a cruise memorable holiday in 2024." Thanks for taking away my choice and my money

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY We have used this company a couple of times and found that the after sales service is non existent. On one trip we discovered that one flight leg was booked without checked luggage allowance so we had to pay a very expensive last minute fee. When I complained a big black hole appeared and there my complaint remains. On this most recent trip we discovered that the company which was to provide our excursions hadn't been given the hotel names where we were staying even though My Cruises booked the hotels. Only my last minute pleading with the excursion company enabled the trips to go ahead. Of course my email of complaint to My Cuises has been ignored. I could go on. There are so many issues. I will be going back to a traditional travel agent from now on.

Date of experience : November 21, 2023

Hi Kym, We sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you've experienced, and we appreciate your honest feedback. It's disheartening to hear about the challenges with after-sales service and the issues you encountered during your trips. Please know that we take your concerns seriously, and we're currently investigating the specific incidents you've mentioned to prevent such issues from recurring. If there's anything specific you'd like us to address or if you have additional details to share, please feel free to reach out directly. We value your input, and we're committed to improving our services. Kind Regards, My Cruises

DO NOT BOOK with this company

DO NOT BOOK with this company. We are about to travel to Artic Circle but from the moment we paid our 2nd installment we have had nothing but issues. More money for international flights and 1 member is flying home later and MYC has informed them that they have to pay extra for the connecting international flight back to Aus due to the fact that its a split date and not traveling back on the same day. Very poor service and NO where it states that this is the case. Update. Just received our travel docs 7 days before we leave...7 to 10 months they said in their contract..not even close MyC.

Do not trust this company they have the…

Do not trust this company they have the worst customer service and do not take responsibility for the issues that they cause. Try and get hold of them after you pay your hard earned money. They do not take responsibility for any problems. We were not even on the hotel register when we had flown in after a long flight to find they had the wrong week, yet all our printed and online documents were correct. They only do transfers from one hotel when they knew we were staying over 1k with 3 weeks worth of luggage.Don't try and contact them out of hour's and do not swear even if you care at your wits end when you finally get hold of someone, they could not even find our booking, we were in the OLD SYSTEM totally unprofessional. They have offered a pittance of a credit for the stress caused, not good enough.

MyCruises Rip Off

We booked a cruise and it looked like we may have to cancel. Sent numerous emails to MyCruises asking what the consequences would be. It turns out if you send an email and it is NOT important to them it gets sent to the bottom of the list and is not looked at for months. We missed the deadline for payment. The cruise operator Virgin Voyages told us via email that we would get a cruise credit. Now MyCruises advise us that we are NOT entitled to a refund or a credit because of "special conditions" when we booked and that our booking was done under wholesale booking rules and not retail and aren't entitled to a refund or a credit. When pushed, MyCruises advised that Virgin Voyages had taken $600 per cruise and MyCruises took the rest. Book through a local travel agent or direct with the company. Don't trust MyCruises.

Date of experience : February 27, 2023

Hi Glen, thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear you had to cancel your cruise holiday. Our T&Cs cover our cancellation policy and are provided prior to booking. Kind Regards -My Cruises

Theft of deposit and worst service ever... were not allowed to travel on our booked cruise and cancelled our cruise without permission!!!

Booked a Virgin cruise through my cruises, only to fall pregnant so we were unable to go on the cruise as it dosent allow children. We asked my cruises what to do and if they would allow us to cruise still (cruise booked was just before due date). They said we were not allowed to go on the cruise. So we asked if we could have our deposit back and they said no. They then asked us to cancel and I said no because we still want to go on a cruise and to please rebook us on another cruise with the same cruise line. They proceeded to cancel our booking without our permission and kept our deposit of $2000, without offering any alternativeway to use it.

Date of experience : May 29, 2023

Hi Lauren, thank you for your review. We apologise for the circumstances; however, Virgin Voyages also has a strict no-children policy which you would have been aware of prior to booking and you can understand is out of our control. Our cancellation policy is also clearly stated prior to booking. So we can investigate further surrounding your cancellation further, could you please provide your MYC reference number? Kind Regards -My Cruises

I was able to visit 15 European countries in 25 days. This for me was the draw card. The tour driver and guide were excellent - I give My Cruises 10/10 for contracting expert and knowledgeable operators.

Disappointed with My Cruises

Disappointed that my cruises, as my travel agent, did not support me as a customer to try advocate to P&O to get some form of compensation for a terrible cruise. Their communication is terrible - really felt that innocent they got their money from me- I was on my own……. Very sad Won’t be using them again Well - can you believe myCruises have only now responded - months later - no personal contact - just the response to this review just to show the outside world that they care enough to look at this - if they really cared - they would contact me personally and offer support personally - not just to a written review —— goes to show what they are actually like!!! Beware!!!!

Date of experience : April 06, 2023

Hi Therese. We apologise that your P&O cruise wasn't up to the My Cruises standard. So we can further investigate, what was your MYC booking reference number? Kind Regards -My Cruises

We are about to do Europe 25 day tour…

We are about to do Europe 25 day tour has anyone did it through my cruises , I’m getting worried reading these reviews, pretty hard to find out who the actual tour is with , hotels aren’t confirmed yet but full payment has been paid

Hi Danny, thank you for reaching out. If you have any questions regarding your upcoming holiday, please reach out to us on 1300 417 692. Kind regards, My Cruises.

If this is the service before we leave, what horrors await us ...

We have not even embarked on our trip yet and the service has been THE worst experience ever! I just spoke to Customer Service again, about Transfers, and was told there weren't any. When I tried to explain that yes there was as arranged originally, expecting a discussion/service to find out, she just fobbed me off 'with no there isnt, never have been' and hung up on me. This is pretty the attitude of their customer service team each time I needed to speak to them over the last 12 months or so. I would NOT recommend them at all, will never use them again. And actually fear for what we have in front of us on our holiday!

AVOID AT ALL COST -

AVOID AT ALL COST In October 2022 we booked with MyCruises a trip to Japan 21 days Asian to Japan on the Royal Princess departing 6th April 2024. We wanted to choose our cabin and was offered a Deluxe balcony on Riviera deck Cabin 508. great paid deposit etc. Did advised that we may want to change flight dates. Checked through Princess website in March and our cabin was still R508 on Deck 14. Ticketing ignored our requests – they just issued tickets had us arriving on the day the ship sailed. Then final payment time and only to find our cabin had been moved to deck 9 “RIGHT OPPOSITE THE LAUNDRY” (having cruised many times we know that is NOT a good place to be). On speaking to My cruises was advised we were advised “been given a complimentary upgrade !!! More like a down grade” We had booked early on be able to pick our cabin – grrr. They reckoned they couldn’t do anything about changing the cabin away from the laundry. And they would only charge us the deposit of $3,300 as a cancellation fee! So we have no holiday in April that we were looking forward.

Date of experience : October 24, 2023

Hi Kate, thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear you are unhappy with your cabin placement and can understand your complaint. So our Aftersales team can investigate further, what was your MYC booking reference number? Kind Regards -My Cruises

The end of the cruise accomodation in Milan was to be 4 to 5 stars. Instead the group was split up with some getting city centre while 20 of us ended up miles out of the city in Chinatown ! Room was filthy and whole place smelled of cigarettes. Tried complaining to hotel staff who moved us to a new room which was just as bad ! My Cruises made excuse after excuse and after a lot of pressure they offered a $200 voucher for another my cruise ! I can't print my response. DON'T USE

Hi Joseph, thank you for your review. We apologise this was your experience as it doesn't align with our company values. We have taken your feedback on board and passed it on to the relevant departments for further training and review. Kind Regards -My Cruises

This company is so dodgy it beggars belief.

Bad experience from beginning to end. Won’t even let me tick the 1 star review keeps changing it to 5 star. So dodgy. Impossible to get any answers from changed itinerary. Changed a flight from Jaipur to Mumbai making over 100 travellers get a bus from Jaipur back to New Delhi and then fly from ND to Mumbai turning what would have been a 2 hour flight to a 12 hour nightmare. Then airline wouldn’t take all the passengers because gate was closed due to delays including bus held up by corrupt police and driver taken away because he changed lanes to avoid a parked police car. Those that were aged or immobile were going to be left behind. Nobody on this trip will EVER use my cruises again. Even the guide was so stressed and concerned for the passengers. Not enough time to list the shabby way this company treats its clients. The list goes on and on. My Cruises are a disgrace. Definitely would not use them again. Along with the other couple of hundred passengers who were treated like animals. Wait there is more but I think you have got the general idea.

Disappointed

The tour guide would cancel scheduled tours on the day, he wouldn't give any comments on where we were when going through small towns on the way. He was drinking while working with a couple of girls on tour. Very unprofessional. Some of the hotels we stayed at were disgusting. At one hotel we were welcomed with the previous visitors old drinks left in the fridge, another hotel we had no air conditioning and to have a shower the water was brown. Our tour guide was note helpful at all and even told us the wrong meeting place to all the other travellers. Very disappointing this was meant to be a trip of a lifetime with my mother. The tour guide was useless and uninformative.

Hi Tameka, thank you for your feedback and we are so sorry to hear of this. So that we can get to the bottom of things, may you please update your review with your booking number? Thank you, My Cruises.

MY Cruise, bad value

We were booked on a cruise through MY Cruises. It was my 70th birthday trip and our Wedding Anniversary. 10 day Cruise around the Mediterranean, trip of a lifetime. The ship had little or no working internet and I could do no banking, business or contact family whilst on the ship very frustrating. When the cruise finished we were to be transferred through to our hotel in Rome by MY Cruises. We disembarked from our ship and waited for over an hour causing a great deal of apprehension with ourselves and other passengers who had booked through MY Cruises. After finally being picked up we were dropped off approximately 400m from our hotel. The main entrance to the hotel was blocked off and we had to use a side entrance. It took one person over an hour to process the 40 odd people through to their rooms, we were just plonked in the crowded foyer. We were then charged an extra 48 Euro City tax of which we knew nothing. No payment of tax, no room. The hotel shows a pool on the hotel’s website as part of its promotion, there is none. It is in one of the suites. MY Cruises certainly did no homework as to where we were going to be sent and clearly found us cheap accommodation in what is supposed to be prestigious. I have tried to contact MY Cruises and contacted them two days back, no reply.

Date of experience : August 29, 2024

Hi Terry, we are very sorry to read this and thank you for your feedback. We have heard back from our Team Leaders who have informed us that you were contacted directly on this matter. Thank you, My Cruises.

So far disappointing, will update.

I will submit a further review post cruise. We have booked with friends to go on an Alaskan/Canadian cruise leaving Brisbane this Friday. We have made numerous telephone calls which have resulted in an improved itinerary including flights and accommodation. However, My Cruises have changed my friends itinerary which no longer aligns with ours. The numerous phone calls and emails have unfortunately not resulted in a satisfactory outcome. It’s very disappointing as transfers are not included in these packages and we will therefore not be able to share costs with our travelling companions. MYC-43729

Hi Bernie, thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have heard back from our Team Leaders who have informed us that you were emailed the difference in travel and confirmed the charges via email. Your flights were booked before your linked booking. The change was made due to local operations. We hope this clears things up, however you're welcome to email [email protected] or call 1300 692 784 and select "2" for the dedicated Aftersales line for further discussion. Thank you for your understanding. Kind regards, My Cruises.

Absolutely disgraceful after service…

Absolutely disgraceful after service care. They are wonderful, super helpful when enquiring but after you pay them your money you’re on your own. Looking at all these poor reviews seems quite the norm!! Don’t fall for their cheap deals, you pay for it in the end. They leave out transfers and book you into hotels 40 minutes out of town… don’t say I didn’t warn you of this horrible company!!!

Date of experience : August 20, 2024

Hi Jacinta, we are sorry to hear about your disappointment. Please be advised that, due to the growth and age of many cities, the key sites and points of interest are often spread out across the city. An example of this is Rome; the key sights of Vatican City, the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain are all in different areas. The hotels that we partner with are normally located near at least one point of interest with nearby transport links enabling our travellers to see the city with ease. We hope this helps create more understanding. Should you like to discuss this further, please email our Customer Service team at [email protected] containing your feedback and booking number, with the subject line as "post holiday feedback". Thank you very much. Kind regards, My Cruises.

Never again

Every time I rang My Cruises I got a different price. Not consistent. One person I spoke to raised the quote by nearly $4000. Seems no communication between phone operators. Because of the way my queries were handled and the way the staff handled my booking, I decided to not proceed, even though I gave my DOB, address, and contact details as requested, and their promise to get back in touch, I was fed up with their inefficiency SO no booking number. Also my name is Jan Battaglene, Pat Battaglene died over 7 years ago. I did try to amend this but couldn't get through to anyone to change this. Another upset on top of all the others. Jan Battaglene Further to your recent email, I have already explained why I do not have a booking number and also why I do not wish your emails to be address to Pat Battaglene (Deceased 2017)

Date of experience : August 18, 2024

Hi Jan, we apologise for this mix up. We are so sorry that you did not receive positive service when obtaining a quote - this does not align with our values. We thank you, again, for bringing this to our attention as we look to further improve. Kind regards, My Cruises.

How many emails and phone calls do we need to do before anyone replies. Excellent service when selling the trip, but NOT NOW This is horrible as I pushed 4 of my friends to come along with me next year. Never again, lets see where this takes us. My booking number is MYC-71557

I responded to an advertisement and a gentleman from My Cruises called me. He told me all about the trip in August 2025 that included a cruise, but of course it was selling out fast and a good idea to pay the deposit to secure our places. Very hard sell and the deposit was only $299 each. I paid by card but quickly realised that the trip wouldn’t be ideal for us - being seniors. I contacted My Cruises to cancel and was told we wouldn’t be getting our deposit back according to their Terms and Conditions (which we only received after payment was made). I called again and was told a Supervisor would contact me, I am still waiting- months later !

Date of experience : February 10, 2024

Hi Shirley, thank you for your review. We are sorry that you decided not to go ahead with your holiday. Unfortunately, our deposits are refundable, and our Terms & Conditions are stated on our website. If you'd like, you can respond to this with your booking number and we can forward this to our Aftersales Team to see if anything can be done. Kind regards, My Cruises.

Rip offI recently had a very frustrating experience with My Cruises regarding a cancellation. I had initially booked a four-week Athens to New York cruise with Virgin Voyages for November. Unfortunately, I discovered I was pregnant and would be past the cutoff for traveling with Virgin Voyages, so I needed to cancel. I contacted My Cruises immediately when I was just four weeks pregnant, and, although no flights or accommodations had been booked yet, my total fee was paid less than a week prior. At that time, I was informed that the cancellation fee would be $2,500. I requested this information in writing but never received it despite following up multiple times. To my dismay, I later learned that the cancellation fee had risen to $4,500—almost double what I had originally been told. This unexpected change is particularly frustrating given that the cancellation was due to my pregnancy, which was not a planned event. My Cruises’ customer service was unresponsive and provided poor excuses for the increase. They cited fluctuations in an internal airfare currency (NUC), which they claimed could vary daily. However, since I had called to cancel on the day I found out about my pregnancy and the cancellation was not processed immediately, I believe this fluctuation is an unfair charge to place on me. Overall, My Cruises’ lack of clear communication and the substantial increase in the cancellation fee have left me feeling extremely dissatisfied. I would strongly advise others to be cautious and ensure they receive written confirmation of any cancellation terms and fees

Date of experience : August 15, 2024

Hi Carla. As per your previous review, these cancellation fees are imposed on us by the supplier, Virgin Voyages, and are beyond our control. Your case was escalated to our Team Leaders and Product Managers; however, Virgin Voyages have a strict non-refundable deposit policy and as you had two back-to-back sailings, this resulted in two non-refundable deposits, plus our My Cruises cancellation fees. We understand that such high cancellation fees can be a financial burden and we truly are sorry. We have forwarded this new feedback on again to our Aftersales Team and a Manager should be in touch once more. Regards, My Cruises.

Keep deposit even 6 months before.

Wanted to transfer my deposit from one cruise to another more than 6 months ahead of the booking but they would no allow me to.

Date of experience : November 18, 2023

Hi Carol, we are sorry to hear about the difficulty with transferring your deposit. Upon investigation, the cruise deposit on your booking last year was non-refundable from the cruise line, meaning we were unable to transfer the deposit to a new package. We understand that this has disappointed you and thank you for your understanding. Kind regards, My Cruises.

Hotel had no aircon or heating, cockroaches & bed bugs, some rooms had no pillows mine was mouldy Included meals were atrocious & people got food poisoning. Do NOT EXPECT any action from MYCRUISES

I have written a review of our experience with MYCRUISES and another of the DISASTROUS Japan tour itself. BE WARNED....all they will ever do, is send you a reply stating "Dear Mr(s) X so sorry etc etc etc. Over the past years of shocking ratings, They never actually change nor improve anything

SMOOTH SAILING WITH MY CRUISES

Every part of our cruise experience with Virgin Voyages went smoothly. Cannot fault My Cruises. Initially there were a few hiccups prior to leaving which were sorted promptly. Loved the bonus $600 bar credit and $300 loot money to spend in the shops and even using funds play bingo. Would certainly recommend this company.

Hi Jayne, thank you for your review. We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your time onboard Virgin Voyages. Kind regards, My Cruises.

Not even cancer is enough to get a refund

Booking Reference: IGZ-02823 *** UPDATED 6/6/2024 - a representative from My Cruises has been in touch and there has been a satisfactory resolution to our situation*** 7 days after paying a deposit for a cruise that is to take place in October 2025, my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer. Understandably the pressures this put on us was more important than thinking about a cruise down the track so we made the decision to cancel and requested a refund for the deposit. The terms and conditions are simply either too rigid or the people in charge have no heart. Numerous back and forth emails were always finished with the fact we will lose our $998 deposit. Do not book through these clowns. They are far from a professional group to deal with and have zero compassion. Tony Gillies

Date of experience : May 10, 2024

Hi Tony, we are so sorry for the disappointment that has been caused by My Cruises. We are so pleased that a resolution has now been reached. Thank you so much. Kind regards, My Cruises.

No Communication. No Answers.

Our cruise from Singapore to Dubai was cancelled by Virgin in February 2024 due to problems in the Red Sea ( the ship was sailing from Dubai to Athens after completion of our leg). The cruise was booked through Flight Centre who use their subsidiary My Cruises. Virgin advised that refunds would be made from 16 February. It’s now 28 May and we are still waiting! Flight Centre cannot provide any answers. When are we getting our refund? _______________________________________________ FOOTNOTE: As you can see from the response below My Cruises have totally avoided answering the question. The Virgin ship was Resilient Lady and My Cruises know when refunds will be paid but refuse to confirm a date.

Date of experience : May 28, 2024

Hi John, we are so sorry to hear of this. Unfortunately, since this was booked through Flight Centre, all communications must be processed through Flight Centre. We sincerely hope this is sorted for you very soon. Kind regards, My Cruises.

Out refund for a cancelled cruise…

Out refund for a cancelled cruise (notified as cancelled by MSC cruises on the 17th January '24) has now been approved by MYCRUISES and is destined for our bank account but may take up to 30 days to pass through their payment procedure. Looking forward to, at last, receiving payment after perhaps a five month wait.

Date of experience : January 17, 2024

Hi David, we are pleased to see that this has now been sorted. Kind regards, My Cruises.

Exceptional Classic Europe

I was lucky enough to enjoy a two week Classic Europe tour under the guidance of Tour Leader, Ken. The tour was well organised and very well executed by Ken. Ken’s knowledge across all regions was extraordinary and really added to the overall European experience. 👍🏻👍🏻 The coach was clean and comfy and our driver Andrez kept us all feeling very safe. 🚌 Accommodations were beyond expectation and the included meals were very enjoyable. 🏩 So many “pinch me” moments included in this package and bucket-list boxes checked ✅ The tour was worth every cent. There were optional extras which we could choose once on the tour which were all well worth the extra $$ and a lot cheaper and safer than booking on our own due to the h group discount pricing. I would highly recommend booking a holiday with MyCruises. From my initial contact with the booking team, to the Customer Service staff and onward to the Tour Leader and Coach Driver, and hotel staff... you wont be disappointed. Bonus points if you’re lucky enough to get Ken.

Hi Jody, Thank you for your glowing review. We're thrilled to hear you had such a fantastic experience on our Classic Europe tour with Ken and Andrez. It's wonderful to know that everything from the organisation to the accommodations and optional extras exceeded your expectations. We appreciate your recommendation and look forward to welcoming you on another adventure with My Cruises soon. Kind regards, My Cruises.

Best European cruises: 6 ships that stand out across the pond

Ashley Kosciolek

Editor's Note

Prospective cruisers often ask me what the best European cruises are, but that question is difficult to answer because Europe is massive. It encompasses some 45 countries and includes such cruise regions as the Mediterranean, the Baltic and Northern Europe, the British Isles and the Canary Islands.

While cruisers are spoiled for choice in this part of the world, it can be difficult to know where to begin when researching voyages.

To help you out, I've narrowed down my favorites for the best cruises to Europe for different types of travelers, including families, couples and solo travelers.

Note: Pricing was accurate at the time of publication. Fares are subject to change without notice.

Best European cruises for families: Disney Fantasy

my cruises europe reviews

Disney Cruise Line is great for kids; if you're planning a cruise in Europe with children, Disney Fantasy is a logical choice for the best European cruise for families.

Character meet and greets, awe-inspiring nighttime entertainment and fun dining experiences mean your kiddos will never be bored. The ship's stellar kids clubs go above and beyond with a likeness of Andy's room from "Toy Story" and Star Wars flight simulators. They can even go to the Marvel Super Hero Academy, where kids can train to become protectors of the universe.

Disney Fantasy is not the line's newest ship, meaning it's a bit more manageable in terms of both size and price. It's not the oldest, either, so families will find more things to do on board than on the line's smallest vessels.

Ashore, Disney's family-friendly excursions will take you to laze on the beach, explore museums and learn about history.

In May 2025, Disney Fantasy will begin three- to 12-night cruises to Western Europe, the British Isles and the Mediterranean . Cruise fares start from $362 per person, per night, for a windowless inside cabin. You can visit ports like Glasgow, Scotland, and Liverpool, U.K., on cruises from Southampton, U.K.; you can also visit Florence and Rome (Civitavecchia) on Barcelona sailings.

Best European cruises for couples: Viking Star

my cruises europe reviews

If you're a couple seeking an upscale Mediterranean or Northern Europe experience that offers real value and a chance to reconnect with your partner, look no further than Viking .

The line's Viking Star sails various Northern Europe and Mediterranean itineraries, and the European ports the ship visits offer plenty of opportunities for you to feel the love. Take a pizza-making class together in Italy , or get a little giggly at a wine tasting in Greece.

Viking includes at least one free shore excursion per port in its fares. That means you can wander Europe's romantic cobblestone streets, hand-in-hand with your sweetie, without paying a penny extra.

While fares aren't the cheapest you'll find, you'll get a lot for your money. In addition to the tours, Viking includes Wi-Fi, specialty dining, and beer and wine with lunch and dinner in its prices.

Plus, all cabins on Viking's ships have balconies, which is great if you want some fresh air but feel like keeping to yourselves. Complimentary room service is available 24/7, so you can order dinner to your cabin for a charming alfresco dining experience for two.

Want even more ways to pamper yourselves together? Check out the phenomenal thermal suite in the ship's spa ; they offer saunas and steam rooms, tile loungers and aromatherapy rooms at no extra charge. Or, splurge on a couples massage, which will leave both of you feeling relaxed and refreshed.

Even better, Viking ships don't allow children on board. It's a great excuse for you and your significant other to rekindle the romance without other passengers' kids ruining the vibe.

Through 2025, Viking's Northern Europe and Mediterranean sailings range from seven to 28 nights. The ship visits ports such as Barcelona; Rome (Civitavecchia) and Venice, Italy; Athens and Santorini, Greece; Istanbul; Bergen, Norway; and Reykjavik.

Fares start from $400 per person, per night for a balcony cabin on a Western Mediterranean itinerary.

Best European cruises for seniors: Seabourn Sojourn

my cruises europe reviews

If you're a senior traveler who loves great food and excellent wine, one of the best luxury European cruises you can book is a cruise to the Canary Islands on Seabourn 's Seabourn Sojourn.

The small ship carries fewer than 500 passengers, and you won't find raucous parties or tons of children. Instead, you'll be met with stellar service, gourmet food, a room with a view (all cabins have at least a window), and relative peace and quiet. The long itineraries are ideal for wealthier passengers with lots of time to travel.

Seabourn Sojourn's voyages to the Canaries span 12 to 26 days and visit the islands of La Palma, Gran Canaria and Madeira; they also visit Lisbon. Fares start from $314 per person, per night for a suite on a March 2025 sailing. Extras like Wi-Fi, gratuities and alcohol (including the in-room minibar) are rolled into the fares.

Best for solo cruisers: Norwegian Epic

my cruises europe reviews

When Norwegian Epic debuted in 2010, it introduced Norwegian Cruise Line 's first cabins for solo travelers. Designed with single beds and a bit less square footage, these so-called studio cabins are clustered around an exclusive lounge reserved for solos. Special activities allow folks traveling alone to mingle and make new friends.

Since Norwegian Epic began sailing, nearly all of the line's new ships — Norwegian Breakaway, Norwegian Getaway, Norwegian Escape, Norwegian Encore , Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva — have been built with accommodations for one , which don't charge occupants a single supplement. However, it's Norwegian Epic that has a presence in the Mediterranean and Greek Isles , offering solo cruisers a chance to explore Europe on a ship with cabins just for them.

On board, passengers have plenty of choices for activities and dining. In addition to the usual cruise-ship offerings — pool games, dance parties, game shows, trivia and movie screenings — Epic offers many fun diversions. Options include an adults-only beach club at the back of the ship, spa treatments, a bowling alley and even gaming lessons (the latter three for a fee).

The vessel sails six- to 12-night voyages, round-trip from Rome (Civitavecchia), calling on ports that include Naples and Florence (Livorno), Italy; Palma de Mallorca and Ibiza, Spain; Marseille and Cannes, France; and Mykonos and Santorini, Greece, among others. At press time, studio fares started at $161 per night for a 12-night sailing. The voyage includes a two-night pre-cruise stay with tours of Rome and features port calls on Santorini, Mykonos and Corfu, Greece; Valletta (Malta); and Sicily, Naples and Florence (Livorno), Italy.

Best European party cruises: Virgin Voyages' Resilient Lady

my cruises europe reviews

If your Europe bucket list includes the Greek islands, you don't want to sail with children and you enjoy a lively party atmosphere, you can't go wrong with Virgin Voyages ' Resilient Lady. The third ship in the line's fleet, Resilient Lady offers some of the best cruises to the Greek Islands and other places in the Mediterranean.

Expect a casual vibe where passengers dress up like mermaids, crew dress up like drag queens and performers look like real people. Toss in an onboard tattoo parlor, a food court ( it's not a buffet ), free fitness classes and an app that lets you order Champagne to wherever you are on the ship; you get a product that has turned the cruise industry on its head.

Wild nights on board include raucous and sometimes raunchy theater shows, impromptu dance parties and Scarlet Night — a poolside bash reminiscent of a rave where everyone's dressed in red. If you attend enough daily activities, you might even be invited to a secret nighttime tour of the crew bar, drinks included.

The ship offers a regular program of seven- to 11-night voyages. Prices start from $174 per person, per night for an inside cabin on an eight-night cruise to France, Italy and Greece in April 2025.

Best European cruises for 'wow' factor: Hurtigruten's Richard With

my cruises europe reviews

Looking for a sailing that no other cruise line offers and one that will make everyone on TikTok and Instagram jealous? I'm putting my money on a line you've likely never heard of: Hurtigruten .

The line began more than 130 years ago as a way for Norway's residents to move themselves and cargo up and down the Norwegian coast. It continues today as both a means of transportation and a way for cruisers to experience the country's culture.

On the cruise line's Norwegian Coastal Express route, Hurtigruten's Richard With ship calls on more than 30 ports in just six or seven days (depending on itinerary). Some are quick stops in the middle of the night while cargo is loaded and unloaded, but you could get off the ship in each port if you really wanted to. That in itself makes this itinerary buzzworthy.

Still need convincing? These voyages also cross into the Arctic Circle and sail into Geirangerfjord (northbound from Bergen to Kirkenes) and Trollfjord (southbound from Kirkenes to Bergen). The route affords absolutely breathtaking views and, of course, bragging rights.

The two routes can be combined into longer 13-day sailings, meaning you'd sail round-trip from Bergen and see all the fjords. Seven-night northbound itineraries from Bergen to Kirkenes start at $137 per person, per night for an inside cabin.

Bottom line

Ultimately, the best cruise to Europe is a bit subjective in that it depends where in Europe you'd like to go and what your travel style is. Be sure to weigh a combination of destination, price and onboard vibe when deciding which is best for you and your travel party.

Debuted in October 2021, Rotterdam welcomes up to 2,668 guests at double occupancy, 3,172 guests at maximum capacity and 1.048 crew members. The name hearkens back to the line's founding in the late 19th century, when its first ship, Rotterdam, sailed from the Netherlands to New York. Though the ship's name is rooted in the cruise line's past, its amenities are anything but antiquated.

Among Rotterdam's standout facilities is World Stage, a performance venue that features a two-story, 270-degree wraparound LED screen that creates a panorama of light and sound for audience members. For more entertainment, passengers can catch a performance at any of the ship's numerous music venues, including the Rolling Stone Rock Room and B.B. King's Blues Club.

When travelers aren't grooving to live tunes, they can test their luck at the onboard casino or relax at the spa. Meanwhile, kids can play the day away at the Kids Club. Foodies will be pleased to hear the ship offers eight dining options, including Rudi's Sel de Mer, a French brasserie, and Tamarind, which highlights the culinary traditions of Southeast Asia, China and Japan.

Cabins range in size from 143 square feet to 1,290 square feet, with some of the luxury suites boasting floor-to-ceiling windows, whirlpool baths and verandas with hot tubs.

Sailings aboard Rotterdam depart from ports like Fort Lauderdale, Florida , and Amsterdam to destinations in the Caribbean, Europe and the Panama Canal.

U.S. News Insider Tip: The art collection aboard Rotterdam is valued at more than $4.1 million and has 2,645 pieces of diverse works ranging in value from $500 to $620,000. Take some time to walk around the ship to explore the collections. Each of the three stairwells has a theme that reaches from top to bottom: architecture, music or zoology. – Jill Schildhouse, Contributor

Viking Saturn

Debuted in May 2023, the adults-only Viking Saturn has the capacity to hold 930 passengers and 465 crew members. Travelers love the ship's clean Scandinavian design and compact size, which allows it to dock in smaller ports that larger cruise ships cannot reach.

On board, travelers have access to a slew of amenities, including a fitness center, a spa, a library, a state-of-the-art theater, a hair salon, an infinity pool and more. A resident historian is also on board to offer lectures and educational programming about upcoming port destinations. When hunger strikes, Viking Saturn offers an array of dining options, from fresh seafood at World Café to afternoon tea service at Wintergarden to traditional Norwegian cuisine at Mamsen's. Or, learn how to prepare regional dishes from your itinerary at the onboard cooking school.

Starting at 270 square feet, standard staterooms come equipped with king-size mattresses (which can be converted into two twin beds), flat-screen TVs, full-size verandas and bathrooms with heated floors. What's more, each accommodation includes 24-hour room service. Travelers who opt to stay in one of the ship's upgraded suites (which reach up to 1,448 square feet) have access to additional perks such as separate living areas and dining rooms, complimentary laundry services and a welcome bottle of Champagne, among other luxuries.

Viking Saturn sails to a variety of destinations in northern Europe (such as Bergen, Norway; London  and Stockholm ) and the Mediterranean (think: Barcelona, Spain ; Rome ; Athens, Greece ; and Istanbul ).

Seven Seas Splendor

Debuted in September 2021, the 746-passenger (double occupancy), 548-crew member Seven Seas Splendor is the newest ship within the Regent fleet. Seven Seas Splendor – along with most of the line's other ships – takes opulence to the next level by equipping each suite with its own private balcony. Other standard in-room amenities include interactive flat-screen TVs, luxurious bath products, bathrobes and slippers, signature queen-size beds and dining tables for two. There are 10 suite categories available, ranging from the smallest Veranda (307 square feet) and Deluxe Veranda suites (308 to 361 square feet) to the largest Regent (4,443 square feet) and Master suites (1,895 to 2,108 square feet).

Guests have a wide array of things to do while on board. Spend your days relaxing at the spa, playing paddle tennis or bocce ball, working up a sweat on the jogging track or taking a dip in the ship's two whirlpools and two pools, one of which is an infinity-edge pool that stretches along the edge of the ship, providing swimmers with exceptional views of the ocean. At night, enjoy one of five shows at the onboard theater.

When it comes to food, Seven Seas Splendor offers eight eateries ranging from casual to fine dining. Enjoy your breakfast alfresco at La Veranda and grub down for lunch at the Pool Grill buffet. Celebrity Apex

The Celebrity Apex – which made its inaugural sailing in June 2021 – can hold up to 2,910 passengers at double occupancy, 3,385 at maximum occupancy and 1,320 crew members. Guests can wine and dine at 29 restaurants, bars and lounges, then spend the night testing their luck at the casino or enjoying live music at the Magic Carpet (which offers great ocean views). There are also meeting spaces and multipurpose areas on board, as well as upscale shops.

However, the ship is geared more toward adult clientele (or families with older children) looking for a relaxing escape.

The ship's staterooms, which start at 181 square feet, offer smart TVs, customizable air conditioning and plenty of storage space. Many rooms also offer private verandas. Viking Mars

Viking's newest ship, the Viking Mars accommodates 930 passengers and, since it's a smaller vessel, it can dock in many ports where some of the larger ocean-faring cruise ships can't reach. The all-veranda accommodations on this ship, which debuted in May 2022, range in size from around 270 square feet to 1,448 square feet. In-room amenities include free Wi-Fi access, flat-screen TVs, safes, minibars filled with drinks and snacks, robes, slippers and 24-hour room service.

Visitors will find a relaxing spa, a hair salon, a yoga area and a well-equipped indoor fitness center (plus an outdoor fitness center) aboard the ship. Those looking to unwind with a book in one hand and a cocktail in the other should snag a cozy spot in The Living Room. Like other Viking ships, the Viking Mars offers educational programming, lectures, cooking classes and more on board.

Cruisers can also enjoy amenities like the main pool and hot tub, the infinity pool, the cinema, the theater, a jazz lounge and various bars. Dining options on this ship include Manfredi's Italian Restaurant, Aquavit Terrace, World Café, The Chef's Table and The Kitchen Table.

Viking Mars receives rave reviews from recent cruisers. The variety of excursions, the delectable onboard dining and the comfortable cabins are a few things previous guests highlighted as superb. However, the staff received mixed reviews: Some experienced attentive and friendly employees, while a few noted they were expecting better service across the board for the price point.

Upcoming itineraries on the Viking Mars include cruises with ports of call in Iceland, Norway, Greece, Italy, Spain, the U.S. and Canada.

Also, since it is an all-veranda ship, all guests have the same great ocean view. – Julie L. Kessler, Contributor

We had a great time on our London to…

We had a great time on our London to Europe trip, we saw so many amazing things in a short amount of time for an affordable price. All the hotels were clean and provided a great breakfast and somewhere to rest your head after a very busy day. . Our tour manager Ken was amazing giving us so much local knowledge of all the places we went to and drove past plus a few jokes on the way. He made sure we were very prepared for each day and what to expect. There was a lot of bus time, walking and public transport but it was all part of the unreal experience. We would definitely book again through My cruises. Hopefully we will get Ken and our bus driver Andrezj again. Ps if you don’t like walking or don’t have great fitness find another tour. Thank you so much , Ken, Andrezj and the team from My Cruises.

Hi Carole, it sounds like you had an incredible adventure across Europe with Ken and Andrzej. We're thrilled to hear that despite a few hiccups, Ken's professionalism and flexibility ensured a memorable trip. It's great that you appreciated the clean accommodations, comfortable transportation and the extra touches like gelato and chocolate. We're grateful for your feedback and look forward to welcoming you on another journey soon. Kind regards, My Cruises.

Travelling between tables

It is a tour without a licensed tour guide so you will have to do your home work which will make a difference - the difference between not knowing what you are going to miss out and knowing what you are going to miss out. I am not joking. It is like sending you to tables full of food but you won't get to taste them. All what you are doing is traveling between tables. I also admire the effort of the company put in to lower the cost, at the expense of customers' enjoyment.

Hi Adeline, thank you for your feedback and we are sorry that your tour guide was disappointing. So that we can determine which tour this was, may you please update your review to include your booking number? This will assist in making improvements in the future. Kind regards, My Cruises.

My Cruises advertisement

I read an advertisement from My Cruises today for a 16 day cruise on the Diamond Princess ship out of Singapore to Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam Dec 7 2025. Looks fantastic. Then I went to Princess Cruises website and looked up the different departures for this same ship and they (Princess), DO NOT mention this ship doing this departure date or the itinerary that My Cruises says it's doing. This seems strange to me???

Date of experience : 26 April 2024

Hi Sheryl, the package is live and can be booked. It is also promoted on Princess' website here: https://www.princess.com/cruise-search/details/?voyageCode=M536. Kind regards, My Cruises.

They're quick to keep your money.

Could not give no stars. Please be aware of the terms and conditions. I paid my deposit of approximately $1200. Due to unforseen circumstances I had to cancel 14 days later. Yes - I did not get my money refunded. Not even a small portion of it.

Date of experience : 05 July 2024

Hi Sonny, thank you for bringing this to our attention. May you please email our Customer Service team at [email protected] containing your detailed information and booking number, with the subject line as "post holiday feedback". We will then ensure a senior leader of the cruise department looks into your case and responds to you accordingly. Thank you so much. Kind regards, My Cruises.

MyCruises response just weasel words

Very disappointed with this oufit (owned by Flight Centre). They're only interested in getting your money while their customer service is appalling. Their flight/cruise package promotion promises 'peace of mind travel’ with 'every detail taken care of' which is grossly misleading. It is far from peace of mind travel if we have to get up at 2am in the morning to check in for a 6am flight departure. Changing to an afternoon flight costs an extra $1600pp. Neither is it 'peace of mind' when they can't inform us what hotel accommodation they have booked before the cruise until a week before departure. Nor is 'every detail' taken care of when we have to organise all transfers ourselves. Had we known all this beforehand, we would never have booked this cruise.

Date of experience : 30 January 2024

Hi Ewiland, we are sorry to hear about your disappointing experience with My Cruises. We understand it is frustrating when promises of 'peace of mind travel' fall short, with inconvenient flight times and additional costs. Lack of communication about accommodation and transfers adds to the frustration. Your feedback is valuable for improving customer experiences. Kind regards, My Cruises.

NEVER AGAIN !

NEVER AGAIN ! We booked with Mycruises thinking it was a good value package with decent inclusions, we were very mistaken! We didn’t get final travel documents until 2 days prior to departure, included hotels were at least 30-40 mins away from the cities incurring huge expense's so far from good value and very risky having to take subway to hotel at night ! Our train journey was also a debacle as there were 9 of us and none of us were even sitting together for a 7hr train ride, also caused stress trying to put our luggage on the train by ourselves. Communication was an absolute disgrace from the very beginning after we had paid a huge deposit and then paid in full 5 whole months before travel! We were also given wrong cruise cabin number and was only advised of this when trying to checkin for cruise. We were not advised of transfer time to go to the cruise port either meaning we couldn’t register a checkin time for the cruise ! NEVER EVER AGAIN So many other passengers on the same package deal ALL said the same thing !!

Date of experience : 13 May 2024

Hi Michelle, thank you for sharing your feedback and we are so sorry for your negative experience. We have spoken to our Customer Service team who have informed us that NCL's Free at Sea inclusions were a part of the My Cruises package, however the transfer was not included for this particular deal. We have advised the relevant departments regarding the disappointment around the train ride, hotel location and general communication. We take this feedback seriously and thank you for bringing it to our attention for future improvements. We have been informed that our Aftersales Manager has tried to contact you via phone to assist with this matter. Should you like assistance from Aftersales, please feel free to email [email protected]. Again, we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused. Kind regards, My Cruises.

This is our 3rd time booking

This is our 3rd time booking. Though this time I went through Flight Centre as they have bought MyCruises out. Chased paperwork for weeks. Paid in full November, flew out May. Recieved our paperwork 4 days prior. They state in their advertising that hotels are centrally located. Our hotel was 35mins out from the Rome Terminal ( 13 metro stops ). Nowhere to eat except for the hotel which was average and overpriced. Train strike the day we arrived ( not their fault ) but no transfers included in their packages so had to get a Taxi €95. When questioned about getting accommodation closer the reply was “ sorry too late now “. Never had a problem with MyCruises before so not sure who was to blame for this fiasco. Looking to do Discover the Heart of the Canadian Rockies in 2025 but a bit worried that this is all going to happen again

Date of experience : 02 May 2024

Hi Cheryl, thank you for your feedback and we do apologise for the trouble you faced. So that we can pass this onto our team, may you please update your review to include your booking number? Thank you so much. Kind regards, My Cruises.

DON'T use these people

DON'T use these people! My family booked a cruise package that was cancelled. Mycruises knew about the problems in October but chose NOT to say anything until AFTER all customers had made their final payment. Then they promise another week over and over AND then claim we all need to wait because their management team is going on vacation! SERIOUSLY?! I'm taking them to fair trading, and getting the media involved. Do NOT use them!

Date of experience : 12 December 2023

Hi Martin. Thank you for your review. So we can investigate further could you please provide your MYC reference number? Kind Regards -My Cruises

The customer service is appalling

The customer service is appalling. We booked a best of Alaska and Canada package in May of 2023 and the package advertised transfers plus a stop in Montreal with a train trip to Quebec. As of today they still have not detailed the transfers after numerous meetings with the travel agent, Flight Centre, plus earlier this year they cancelled the Montreal stop- guess what -no mention of any refund on what they are not supplying as advertised. This has been a booking from hell. We now have a situation where we depart our cruise in the morning and then travel to Quebec on a night flight that same day and cannot check in to the Quebec hotel until late the next day. Over 30 hours without a shower our sleep. Not good planning. Never again with My Cruises

Date of experience : 20 May 2024

Hi Geoffrey, thank you for sharing your experience. We are so sorry to hear that this is the service you have received from our team. So that we can forward this on to our Aftersales Team for further investigation, can you please respond to our request for further information? Kind regards, My Cruises.

If I could give no stars

If I could give no stars. I would. From start to finish this was by far the most exhausting and unbelievably worst customer service in history. With an overflow of mistakes and miscommunication throughout the entire experience, the package deal was not worth it. Find someone else or do it yourself. Book the cruise direct! Pay extra and get exactly what you want. From getting flights wrong, to threating 24hrs notice to pay last deposit after reaching out to them 3 times prior requesting due date never had a response. Arriving to the hotel with two single beds for 4 people to not including our children in to our breakfast at hotel and having to pay more. No transfers included. The trip was $22k so we are not talking about a small amount. Each and every time we tried to contact them there was an excuse and delay in response from them. No body took accountability. I could have easily done a better job by far and will in future do my own bookings. It would be far less stressful then using My Cruises. Save yourself the heart ache and extra wrinkles.

Hi Courtney, thank you for your feedback. We have already forwarded your previous review to upper management. As per that review, you are also welcome to email [email protected] directly. Kind regards, My Cruises.

Classic European trip…

The disappointments we most remember were not related to weather or crowds of other tourists; poor choices of hotels far from famous destination.travel time was longer than expected . Very poor hotel services in Italy we lost bag of chocolate that we bought in Switzerland during house keeping.Hotel didn’t take any action regards to this .meals wasn’t that great multiple times provided incorrect dinners . Please consider to plan tours thinking of the convenience of people who are travelling, no rest days in between . Flights times were not suitable everything was rushing This can lead to fatigue, as well as other sicknesses. Everyone in the bus got sick which is nightmare. I understand the price is very fair and our tour guide leader was Monty and he really made the holiday what is was . His presentation to all the group was perfect , his knowledge with what he showed us and explained to us was outstanding and the best of all was his sense of humor. Driver Josh was great . After all we made memories.

Date of experience : 27 March 2024

Hi Chethika, we are sorry to hear about the challenges you faced during your tour. It's disappointing when hotel choices and services fall short, affecting travel experiences. Your feedback regarding convenience, rest days and flight times is valuable for future planning. It's great to hear Monty and Josh positively impacted your trip with their expertise and humour, creating lasting memories. Kind regards, My Cruises.

When you book a trip you should not have to wait 10 days out from commencement to know the finer details. They love to take your money and walk away. I clone of trip a deal who were unethical during covid. 10 days out means all the good aircraft seats are taken, excursion prices and transfers are much higher and the cabin promised is already taken. Be warned!

Date of experience : 06 April 2024

Hi Wayne, thank you for your review. We would like to clarify that our team are not booking your flights, accommodation, transfers, etc. 10 days before departure. With the exception of flight details, which are sent to you at the time of flight bookings, we do wait until closer to departure date to share these with our customers in case of unexpected changes. Should you have any further questions, please give our team a call. Kind regards, My Cruises.

The biggest nightmare of all my…

The biggest nightmare of all my travels. Due to the changes in the Suez Canal cruises I have not been able to get the full itinerary of this very expensive trip till 3 days before departure and not the full itinerary. Although I had booked one year ago I still have no idea what the final booking details are and the Virgin app is given me different information from what My Cruises gave me 6 weeks ago. I am fuming. Flight Centre owns My Cruises and they can not even deal with each other to give the customer good service. No one is telling me anything. I have to keep hounding them.

Date of experience : 10 April 2024

Hi Marilyn. We apologise for the frustration and inconvenience you've experienced regarding your upcoming cruise itinerary. We understand the importance of having clear and timely information for your trip. Please rest assured that we are actively working to provide final documentation and ensure you have accurate details well before your departure. ZERO TICKETs 5 days out

We are 5 days out from departure Brisbane to Tokyo on a 17 day Asian cruise and have not yet received ANY tickets. I have phoned many times over the past 10 days and told 'they will be done' and giving many reasons why they aren't. Whilst the staff I have been dealing with are always pleasant and knowledgable it's quite stressful when you have paid out many $$$ and starting to wonder if you will take off at all. Your website and the documentation we received on booking this trip states we can expect the final documents 1-3 weeks before date of departure. I hope to be able to rate My Cruises higher but at this stage I can't.

Date of experience : 05 November 2023

Hi Jackie, thank you for your review. We apologise for the stress this has caused you and can understand your concerns. We can assure you our Docs team is working hard to have these to you ASAP. We are pleased to hear you have had positive experiences with our team members and we hope you have a wonderful cruise! Kind Regards -My Cruises

Totally unfair treatment from My Cruises

Our original MSC Med. cruise was cancelled, and we took up the option to replace it with 2 similar ones. Months later after chasing Ignite Travel and My Cruises up constantly, we were told our application had been unsuccessful and received a refund of just over $4000. This included the price of the original cruise PLUS the air fares from Australia. This was incredibly frustrating as we knew both cruises still had vacancies - confirmed by MSC. As we didn't want to lose the trip, we booked ourselves on to these 2 cruises but it cost us over $8000, and we'd had to pay the airfares on top of this. On these 2 cruises everyone we met from the same company had been transferred for the original amount. We would like to know why we had not been transferred, and what the criterion was for refusing our application when everyone else was accepted. This whole experience with your company has cost us a small fortune, and as we are elderley pensioners it has not been easy. Judith & Hal Orth
