This year, the Logies were held in Sydney for the first time since 1986, and the stars came out in force to see who would nab the coveted top prize – and, spoiler alert, the Gold Logie for 2023 ultimately went to Sonia Kruger .

It wasn't just a night of celebration, however, with bittersweet moments scattered throughout – and tears were shed as stars paid tribute to the Brian Walsh, Barry Humphries , Jock Zonfrillo and Olivia Newton-John .
Read on to see the Logies moments that had everyone talking on TV's night of nights, from the parking mistake that almost made Jackie 'O' Henderson a no-show, to Harriet Dyer's sweet shout-out to husband Patrick Brammall and many more.

Sam Neill wins his second Silver Logie
IN PICTURES: Every incredible look from the 2023 Logies red carpet
New Zealand star Sam Neill took out the Silver Logie in 2005 for Most Outstanding Actor, but he was still surprised when he won Most Popular Actor 18 years later.
"I think there has been a mistake," Neill, 75, said immediately after taking to the stage and accepting his award, which he won for his work in The Twelve .
"I haven't actually thought of anything to say, but I thought my name was just there to make up the numbers. And, really, I wasn't... Look, there is so many actors in this show that I am not even sure that I was the main actor or anything like that. It was just... Look, some of them are here and actually quite a lot of them are here ... most of us were in the show and I just happened to be there.
"Look, I don't know why they have given this to me. Maybe it was the wig? Yeah, it was the wig."
Neill started saying his thank yous, but stopped as he was "just so gobsmacked".
He concluded: "Thank you so much. It is lovely to get another Logie and to be with all of you."
Where in the world was Richard Wilkins?
Although a majority of Australia's television stars were at The Star in Sydney on Sunday night, there were some notable absences.
These included Nine's Entertainment Editor Richard Wilkins , which host Sam Pang couldn't help but point out. So where was he?
As the ceremony aired in Australia, Wilkins was in Greece with his son Christian Wilkins.
"Amazing to be in Greece for the first time with my son [Christian Wilkins] seeing the incredible Acropolis in real life… shame I'm blocking it with my head," Wilkins joked on Instagram before the Logies began.
If you're missing seeing Wilkins on your screen while he's on holiday, check out Dickie's Diaries here , his exclusive series on 9Honey Celebrity.
Harriet Dyer's sweet shoutout to husband Patrick Brammall during acceptance speech
Colin from Accounts co-creator, co-writer and star Harriet Dyer nabbed the Silver Logie for Most Outstanding Actress for her work on the series , and in her speech – after making a joke about her parents informing her the gambling odds were not in her favour ahead of the event – she also gave a sweet shoutout to her husband, co-writer, co-star and co-creator Patrick Brammall.
"I just want to thank Patty," Dyer said on-stage.
"He's the best. He made me sit down and write this probably because I was being annoying in the house," she said, as the camera panned to a nodding Brammall.
"If anyone could find a partner half as amazing as him, then you are going to have a great life."
As the audience 'awwed' at Dyer's tribute, she joked: "Ew! Gross!"
Dyer also paid tribute to new parents who are grappling with going back to the workforce.
"Joni was four-and-a-half months old when we started shooting this," Dyer, who married Brammall in March 2021 after a five-day engagement and adopted their daughter in September 2021, said.
"And it is scary but you can do it all and then you can look back and show them you did it."
It was then Brammall's turn to pay tribute to his wife after he nabbed the Silver Logie for Most Outstanding Actor .
"My main thanks goes to my co-writer, co-show runner, she is also my wife, she is also my muse," Brammall said while accepting his award.
"And she is funnier than me, she is prettier than me, she is younger than me."
Nine's Travel Guides nabs Logie
Nine's Travel Guides won the Logie for Most Popular Lifestyle Program, with the cast joking that they almost didn't make it to the event.
Their acceptance speech elicited laughter with this light-hearted line: "We were supposed to be on a Travel Guides trip this weekend. But our guides, who are joining us now, they said, 'No. We can't go on a carefully curated once-in-a-lifetime holiday with thrilling yet risk-assessed and well-insured activities when the Logies are on!'"
"We're so glad we did come," they said.
Earlier in the night on the red carpet, dad Mark Fren revealed to 9Honey's Maria Thattil that he had something sweet hidden in his outfit – he had photos of his family printed on his shirt!

Sam Pang 'thanks' Hamish Blake for hosting gig in opening monologue
Comedian Sam Pang officially started the ceremony with a monologue, joking that he was not the "first choice" to host the event.
"It is a huge honour to be your guide tonight, but let's just address the elephant in the room," Pang said, before going through "the list of people" asked to fill the role.
"So, Hamish Blake said no," Pang said as the camera panned to a laughing Blake in the crowd.
"Thank you, Hamish, I really appreciate it, mate, some of us have a mortgage," he joked as everyone erupted into laughter.
Blake, meanwhile, may have had an inkling he was going to be mentioned in Pang's opening monologue, with the LEGO Masters host taking to his Instagram Story showing the cameras lining up for his reaction shot.

Back to Year 11 for Hamish and Zoe
It seemed Hamish and Zoe were gearing up for a big night, bringing big "Year 11 social" energy with a hidden flask.
A Popstars reunion
Here's a dose of Y2K nostalgia – Sophie Monk catching Jackie O for a quick cuddle.
Popstars fans will, of course, remember Jackie was the host of the talent show that helped make Monk a household name.
The Blakes finally arrive
Hamish Blake and Zoe Foster Blake never fail to make an impact on the red carpet, and this year was no exception.
Zoe wore a dazzling red gown from ALEMAIS, while Hamish was in a classic tux.
The Blakes weren't the only stylish duo on the red carpet.
Rove McManus and Tasma Walton, Karl and Jasmine Stefanovic and Andy Lee and Rebecca Harding also brought their style A-game.
Click the photo below to see more great photos of couples gracing the Logies red carpet tonight and over the years.
Matchy-matchy!
Seeing this photo, you'd be forgiven for thinking tonight was the State of Origin final, not the Logies...
9Honey's red carpet reporter Maria Thattil caught up with Today Extra 's Sylvia Jeffreys and David Campbell, the trio matching beautifully in shades of maroon.
It proved a popular colour choice at the event – Chrissie Swan also rocked a burgandy frock!
A limo conundrum
We're always happy to see Jackie O on a red carpet, but it seems we came pretty close to missing out at the 2023 Logies...
KIIS FM's "Intern Pete" found himself in a wee dilemma when he discovered the limo he was supposed to be picking his colleague up had been parked in. Who among us...?
The Kyle and Jackie O Show Instagram page called him out for the blunder, writing, "@petedeppeler left the limo in a random carpark over the weekend and now he's blocked in when he's meant to be picking Jackie up soon."
Thankfully, Pete managed to turn things around, getting the limo out just in time.
"I got it out, it's all good, I'm at Crystal Car Wash ... I realise Jackie's going to be wearing a nice dress, so we're giving it a nice clean," he said in a video.
In the end he was roughly 12 minutes late to pick up his colleague, leaving Jackie waiting (im)patiently on the sidewalk in her beautiful red carpet gown.
"Worst chauffeur ever," she laughed.

A hair styling tip we didn't see coming
They say you learn something new every day, and Sarah Abo truly delivered for us on Logies day.
The Today host shared a behind-the-scenes snap of her getting ready with hair stylist Morgan Hill, revealing an unusual product was used in the process...
Abo revealed the unexpected "secret to red carpet hair" is... Wet Stuff Lubricant.
At first we weren't sure how, exactly, the product could be used for hair styling purposes, but after seeing the photos of Abo on the red carpet, the penny dropped.
It seems the Wet Stuff has been used to create a "wet look" hairstyle for the journalist.
Abo wore a beautiful black dress with a sheer wrap-style overlay.
Doin' it for the 'gram
A stunning Instagram shot calls for desperate measures, as the old saying goes.
Just ask Sophie Monk, who put her friendship with Sydney's Crown hotel on the line to get The Shot.
"Sorry for standing on ya table. Promise it wasn't harmed," the Love Island Australia host declared.
9Honey on the ground
A familiar face repped 9Honey on the red carpet: yes, the one and only Maria Thattil!
The columnist, author and former Miss Universe Australia is used to being interviewed on the ruby rug, but this time she turned the tables, asking our favourite Aussie stars all kinds of questions.
Thattil wore a gorgeous custom gown from Con Ilio, sharing a first look on Instagram.
Preparations underway
With a red carpet event comes plenty of preparation.
Just ask Rush host David Genat and Rebecca Harding, who both hit the gym ahead of the ceremony.
Genat joked that he was working out to ensure he wouldn't be able to fit into his suit, adding, "stylists love him".
Meanwhile, Jayne Azzopardi had us doing a double take.
The Nine presenter teased fans with a dramatic new look, posting an Instagram Story of herself with long, flowing extensions and asking "should I?"
Alas, she opted for her shorter hair, but seemed to be getting a quick snip ahead of the red carpet:
And here's the Weekend Today presenter's gorgeous final look:

Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands plays an important role in "Crazy Rich Asians."
There’s a growing faction in Hollywood that believes stunt people deserve to be annually acknowledged at the Oscars. We couldn’t agree more. But we don’t think the trophy presentations should stop there. Location scouts are another underappreciated part of the filmmaking process. These are the unsung heroes who travel the globe looking for the perfect spot to shoot movies and shows. They’re the ones you should thank every time you say, “Wow, that place is gorgeous,” from your couch.
When these experts do their job exceptionally well, you have the urge to put down the remote control and pick up your credit card to buy a plane ticket to see these lovely destinations with your own eyes. It’s a travel trend called set-jetting. Over the years, many of the world’s top hotels and resorts have served as beautiful backdrops on the silver screen. Some play themselves; others take on personas. It’s all filmmaking magic. But as these 20 photogenic properties prove, the coolest trick of them all is that you don’t need a big camera crew or professional stuntmen to make vacation scenes you’ll remember forever.
Crazy Rich Asians
On Location: Marina Bay Sands
Romcom Crazy Rich Asians peeked into the lives of Singapore ’s 0.1%. It memorably ended at Four-Star Marina Bay Sands’ over-the-top 57th-floor rooftop infinity pool — the world’s largest. To vacation like the movie’s uber-wealthy characters, stay in the Paiza Royal Collection’s extravagant new suites on MBS’ upper floors that offer next-level amenities like a golf simulator or an entertainment den with a foosball table and a 95-inch TV with an integrated karaoke system. The wellness-focused Horizon Suite comes with a Himalayan salt wall and heated loungers, a room with two Gharieni massage tables and a gym.
Montana’s Ranch at Rock Creek is like a scene from Yellowstone.
Yellowstone
On Location: The Ranch at Rock Creek
While the Duttons welcome a new kind of drama to their Montana ranch on every episode of the popular Yellowstone series, their fans are regularly gifted with jaw-dropping looks at majestic mountains and wide-open expanses as far as the eye can see, too. When the crew shot season four scenes in Missoula, they were less than 100 miles from Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star The Ranch at Rock Creek. Aside from effortless natural beauty, the posh all-inclusive resort offers horseback riding, UTV tours, frontier skills classes and anything else you’ll need to play cowboy for a few days.
This London institution gets its close-up in Halle Berry’s latest action movie.
On Location: The Savoy
In Netflix’s action movie The Union , Halle Berry’s Roxanne is a spy who uses shady methods to lure her ex-boyfriend (Mark Wahlberg) from Boston to London to help with a mission. We’d typically feel bad for Wahlberg’s character, but seeing as how he wakes in Five-Star The Savoy, we’re not so sympathetic. Look out for shots of the posh lobby and that unmistakable porte-cochère. And bonus points to director Julian Farino for giving The Savoy’s FTG Five-Star plaque some quality screen time around the film’s 15th minute.
007 loves visiting Monaco’s legendary Casino de Monte-Carlo.
On Location: Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo and Raffles London at The OWO
One of the destinations most synonymous with 007 is glamorous Monaco , namely the legendary Casino de Monte-Carlo . The tuxedoed British secret agent gambled, tangoed and sipped martinis in the opulent gilded space during Never Say Never Again and GoldenEye . After playing roulette, retire to the adjacent Five-Star Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo — the grand, modern 1864 property housed the GoldenEye cast during filming.
If you want to visit the spy’s hometown, Raffles London at The OWO is a must. Writer Ian Fleming worked with naval intelligence in the former Old War Office during WWII, and it’s where he dreamt up the Bond novels. The London hotel opened in 2023, but its stately Edwardian Baroque building has long fronted as M16 for the franchise; spot it in Octopussy , A View to a Kill , Licence to Kill , Skyfall and Spectre .
Four Seasons Hotel Chicago cooks up "The Bear" tours.
On Location: Four Seasons Hotel Chicago
Since Four Seasons Hotel Chicago sits less than a mile from Mr. Beef — the beloved Chicago beef stand that inspired Hulu’s hit series — the Four-Star hotel cooked up a Carmy-approved tour that offers a taste of the foodie city. During the “Yes, Chef! Chicago, The Bear Style” tour, historian Liz Garibay personalizes itineraries with at least two food stops while visiting show locations, local landmarks and various neighborhoods. It runs three hours, but you can add on a private architectural cruise.
Find adventure at the DR’s Casa de Campo Resort.
The Lost City
On Location: Casa de Campo Resort & Villas
Casa de Campo has cameoed in so many movies (from 1979’s Apocalypse Now to 2021’s Shotgun Wedding ) that the Dominican Republic resort should have its SAG card by now. One of the 7,000-acre property’s recent moments in front of the camera was in Paramount Plus’ The Lost City with Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum. In this 2022 adventure comedy, the leads are bloodied and bruised by bad guys in search of treasure. Somehow, amid all the chaos in the jungles and archaeological sites, this Four-Star stunner never shows a blemish.
Black Panther was filmed near Puerto Rico’s Condado Vanderbilt.
Black Panther
On Location: Condado Vanderbilt Hotel
The heartfelt acting and dynamic action sequences are central factors in 2018’s Black Panther becoming a cultural phenomenon, but let’s give the scenery its proper credit as well. Puerto Rico , with its lush greens and dramatic coastlines, played the role of Wakanda brilliantly in the movie. El Yunque National Forest and the town of Fajardo, two important shot locations, both sit less than an hour from Condado Vanderbilt, a Four-Star waterfront stunner with the superpower of making all its guests feel like stars.
Hotel Plaza Athénée Paris makes several "Emily in Paris" appearances.
Emily in Paris
On Location: Hotel Plaza Athénée Paris
Rediscover Paris as Chicago bumpkin Emily (played by Lily Collins) moves there for a job and takes you to places like Galeries Lafayette, Galerie-Musee Baccarat and Hotel Plaza Athénée Paris. In fact, the Five-Star hotel appears throughout the popular Netflix series, including season four’s newly dropped part two. That’s because the gorgeous Five-Star hotel is as fashionable as the Savoir staff. Spy its distinctive red-awning exterior, seasonal courtyard ice rink and pink-accented Haute Couture Eiffel Suite (featuring dazzling Iron Lady views) in the show.
Succession‘s money shots came at The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park.
On Location: The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park
Succession viewers may not have been envious of the Roy family’s dysfunctional dynamic, but the luxurious backdrops certainly caught everyone’s attention. The Five-Star The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park offers guests a lavish experience befitting a notoriously hard-to-please business mogul, with no scheming required. The Manhattan hotel, discreetly featured in the HBO show, is a favored retreat for A-listers looking to keep a low profile.
The Phoenicia Malta is close to a number of epic movie sites.
Jurassic World Dominion

Over the years, the island country has played the roles of a zombie-plagued Jerusalem in the apocalyptic future of World War Z and an illegal dinosaur market in Jurassic World Dominion . A stay at the Four-Star Phoenicia Malta is guaranteed to spark any visitor’s imagination, thanks to the hotel’s art-deco design and its proximity to the Mediterranean country’s many historic sights and natural wonders.

Hollywood loves Vancouver for its skyscrapers, forests and luxe hotels.

A new audience has begun appreciating Vancouver’s charms thanks to shows like the romantic Virgin River and imported Korean medical procedural The Good Doctor . See for yourself with a stay at the centrally located Five-Star Shangri-La Hotel, Vancouver.

Mike Faist and Zendaya filmed some of Challengers at "The Newbury Boston."
Challengers
On Location: The Newbury Boston
For anything to take the viewers’ eye away from Challengers ’ attractive central cast (Zendaya, Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist) is a major accomplishment, but that’s exactly what The Newbury Boston is able to do under the lights. Though the Four-Star beauty is never mentioned by name in this tennis-centered drama, astute travelers who are on their game should instantly recognize the hotel’s renowned Street Bar and its stunning Corner House Presidential Suite in some scenes.

On Location: HOTEL THE MITSUI KYOTO, A Luxury Collection Hotel & Spa
One of Japan’s most recognizable castles, Kyoto ’s Nijo was the home of real-life shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu. Next door, HOTEL THE MITSUI KYOTO, A Luxury Collection Hotel & Spa offers sleek accommodations overlooking Nijo and guided Shogun tours of the landmark. While you won’t meet the fierce Mariko, you’ll access off-limits areas. Afterward, return to the Five-Star hotel to partake in ancient traditions, like soaking in an onsen and enjoying a tea ceremony.
Lake Como inspired Alfred Hitchcock.
The Pleasure Garden
On Location: Villa d’Este, Lago di Como
If you’re a cinephile who’s watched Alfred Hitchcock’s oeuvre, go back to where it started. When the then-aspiring filmmaker vacationed at Villa d’Este, Lago di Como in 1925, he was so inspired that he shot his directorial debut, the silent movie The Pleasure Garden, on its stunning baroque grounds. Some insider trivia: When filming wrapped, Hitchcock invited photographers into the hotel kitchen and staged a scene in which he chased the chef around the pots and pans with a knife.

Top Gun: Maverick
On Location: Pendry San Diego
While you might not be able to fly a jet on the USS Midway’s flight deck — a privilege reserved for Tom Cruise — Top Gun fans can still experience a wave of nostalgia by stepping aboard the aircraft carrier for a tour. San Diego played a starring role in the 1986 original and reprised its role in the 2022 smash sequel. With a stay at Forbes Travel Guide Recommended Pendry San Diego, movie buffs can embark on a pilgrimage to the franchise’s memorable sites, such as Kansas City Barbeque , Liberty Station and The Top Gun House, a landmark just 40 minutes from the hotel. (And the USS Midway is just seven minutes away.)
Visit the next "White Lotus" set in Koh Samui.
White Lotus
On Location: Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea and Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui
The plot might have turned dark on the acclaimed HBO show White Lotus , but viewers agree the setting remains a gorgeous bright spot. The Five-Star Maui hotel, a paradise stand-in in the show’s first season, offered audiences stunning shots of the infinity pool, cotton-candy sunsets and turquoise waters. When the show’s third season airs in 2025, everyone will be talking about Koh Samui , Thailand’s second-largest island after Phuket, and the alluring all-villa Four-Star retreat.

Hospitable and sunny Vladikavkaz, the capital of Russia’s Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, captures the heart with its colorful mountain landscapes, historic architecture, kind residents and vibrant local culture.
The city is located on the banks of the Terek River and is almost completely surrounded by mountains which, along with unique Northern Caucasian architecture, make this urban landscape rather irresistible. Upon arrival, luxurious mansions, unusual architecture, parks, museums, theaters, retro trams and cozy eateries serving famous Ossetian meat pies all clamber for visitors’ attention, often pulling them back for further visits.
As the largest city in Russia’s southern Caucasus, Vladikavkaz is the start and ending point for many regional tourist routes, so after enjoying the city sites be sure to continue onward to the surrounding natural attractions .
History of Vladikavkaz
Vladikavkaz Fortress was built in 1784 to provide protection for the Russian Empire along its southern border with Georgia. The name Vladikavkaz means “I own the Caucasus” and was chosen by Catherine the Great after the Russian Empire extended its power into the region. The fort served a vital protective role for many years even as wealthy merchants and retirees began investing in the region’s development, and in 1860 Vladikavkaz attained the status of city. Later in the 19th century, newly laid rail lines in the region led to an economic boom and to an influx of ethnic minorities whose diverse houses of worship and unique architecture can still be seen in the city today.
Vladikavkaz was awarded the title of City of Military Glory after successfully fighting off invading Nazis in World War II. Today it remains an ethnically diverse city with hundreds of Art Noveau and historic buildings. Although no longer a military outpost, Vladikavkaz remains a soulful city with a rich cultural life . Vladikavkaz Architecture
The city of Vladikavkaz is famous for its architecture, and for good reason. The city grew rapidly between the second half of the 19th century and the early 20th century due to the influx of high-ranking retired military personnel who built mansions and summer houses with their hefty pensions. It is believed that the presence of around 75 such individuals led to Vladikavkaz’s historic nickname "City of retired generals".
Today the historic city center is a chain of cozy avenues lined with many of these elegant mansions.
Prospekt Mira
Prospekt Mira (Mira Avenue) in Vladikavkaz is a kilometer-long boulevard which serves as the main pedestrian thoroughfare for the historic city center. It promises a pleasant walk amid slender two- and three-story merchants’ mansions, inviting coffee shops and other convenient photo opps.
Mukhtarov Mosque
Mukhtarov Mosque , also called Sunni Mosque, is an unmistakable landmark of Vladikavkaz. This delicately carved structure appears to have been lifted from the pages of a fairy tale and is often likened to Cairo mosques of the 10th-12th centuries. Built in the early 20th century, it remains an active mosque to this day.
Imperial Hotel
The main hotel in Vladikavkaz, Imperial Hotel on Mira Avenue has long been a city symbol. The fashionable accommodation was built in 1896, and although there were already 16 hotels in Vladikavkaz at the time, it quickly rose to prominence as the hotel of choice for the city’s most honored guests.
Other famous buildings in central Vladikavkaz include:
- Oganov Mansion (12 Mira Avenue)
- Mansion of the Lawyer Boehme (Pavlovsky Lane)
- Yastremsky Mansion (33 Sovetov Street)
- Khudyakovs’ Mansion (11 Mira Avenue)
- English Consulate Building (31 Lenin Street)
As you walk through the center of Vladikavkaz, you cannot miss these unique Northern Caucasian structures which preserve the memory of a bygone era .
Museums and Theaters
Many travelers who come to North Ossetia either visit Vladikavkaz in transit or skip it altogether in their rush to reach the Caucasus Mountains. However, it is here that life can be experienced in full swing and many options for leisurely activities can be found. Museums, theaters, cinemas, concert halls, parks and family entertainment venue all await you in Vladikavkaz.
At Opera and Ballet Theater , one of the largest musical theaters in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, you can enjoy quality opera and ballet performances by professional dancers, singers and musicians.
Vakhtangov Theater is another large public theater that offers performances for both adult audiences and young viewers. The theater opened in 1871 to host performances produced by outstanding Russian playwrights, including an early performance of "Masquerade" by Mikhail Lermontov. Mikhail Bulgakov staged his earliest plays at Vakhtangov Theater, which regularly hosts renowned Russian actors and theatrical figures to this day.
Narty Horse Theater offers highly unusual performances which combine elements of choreography and circus art subtly interwoven with a dramatic plot. This performance will definitely appeal to family members of all ages!
At the North Ossetian Philharmonic , exemplary performances by an all-male choir are held regularly.
National Museum of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania is a museum, research center and exhibition complex with several branches, the main one of which is located in the city center at 11 Mira Avenue. Come get acquainted with a variety of historical findings which date back centuries. In total, the museum complex houses more than 4,000 exhibits which shed light on the history of the region and the peculiarities of the local culture.
M. S. Tuganov Art Museum , located at 12 Mira Avenue next to National Museum of the Republic, has amassed a large collection of works of fine art, including pieces by Levitan, Aivazovsky, Repin, Bryullov, Vereshchagin, Shishkin, Korovin and other acclaimed artists.
21st-Century Entertainment
As in any other major city in Russia, Vladikavkaz is home to a whole host of modern entertainment venues, including quests, laser clubs, time cafes and more .
Outdoor Vladikavkaz Attractions
While there are plenty of manmade attractions to see in Vladikavkaz, outdoor adventures also await travelers, both beyond city limits and even before you depart the mountain metropolis.
Table Mountain
Table Mountain , which at 3000 meters is the highest ridge in the Caucasus, rises above Vladikavkaz as an unmistakable feature of its natural landscape. Table Mountain is depicted on the coat of arms of both the Republic of Ingushetia and Vladikavkaz, for it is located on the border between the two entities. Due in part to the 4th-8th century ruins located on Table Mountain, North Caucasus residents have long viewed it as symbolic of Olympus.
Kosta Khetagurov Park
Kosta Khetagurov Park , the oldest park in the entire North Caucasus, consists of upper and lower terraces along the Terek River, shady pathways which provide welcome relief in the summer heat and a calming lake populated with swans. Cafes, boat rides and other entertainment options combine to create a fun and restful atmosphere .
Vladikavkaz Souvenirs
Like the rest of the Caucasus, the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania offers guests an exquisite array of gifts so you can carry the memory of a Vladikavkaz vacation home with you.
Among the most popular gifts are wine vessels in the shape of a horn, which often include an engraving on a metal border and may be either decorative or unpainted. Dishes, coasters, potholders, fragrant spices and delicious local pies are also popular souvenir choices from Vladikavkaz.
Specialty gifts for men include leather belts, wallets and decorative metal plates, all of which are made with embossed patterns, ornamentation or symbols of the republic such as horfreses, leopards, deer or double-headed eagles.
Women can be presented with openwork earrings, bracelets, pendants, combs and hair clips made of wood, as well as textiles or wool shawls in colorful oriental patterns. Ceramic products suitable for everyday use include coffee cups, small teapots, serving bowls and elegant jugs adorned with national motifs.
National costumes for both genders reflect the vibrancy of the North Caucasian culture of Vladikavkaz and can make an excellent souvenir for relatives and friends.
