Here’s what to expect on a Magic Winery Bus tour:

Meet the double-decker bus or coach at the pickup location listed on the Routes & Schedules page. Our friendly staff will help you get settled.

Get comfortable on the charming British double-decker or luxury coach and leave your worries behind.  You’ll have plenty of time to enjoy wine tastings and explore the wine shops, at your pace.

At the end of the journey, the bus will return to the pickup location where unique shops, delicious eats and outdoor adventure awaits. Make it a weekend trip and stay the night at a local hotel, historic inn or exquisite B&B.

Guided by a love for the vineyards, I have pulled together my five years of experience working in vineyards, wineries, shops and tours and rolled it into an exceptionally fun day exploring Nova Scotia wineries.  I'm determined to give every guest a new favourite wine, with a sprinkle of new knowledge.

Our custom tour is a 6-7 hour day in our 7 seat SUV which includes: 

Two pickup/drop off locations within 20km of Halifax and transport to and from Annapolis Valley. 

Wine tastings at three Annapolis Valley wineries, recommendations available based on desired wine styles.

Locally roasted coffee on pickup and water and snacks throughout the day. 

Vineyard tour with in-depth breakdown of the Nova Scotia growing season. 

Lunch recommendation and coordination *lunch not included* and photos to remember the day!

Additional locations or add ons can be discussed at booking. The fine print: A 50% deposit to be made after booking details are confirmed. Deposit is refundable up to 72 hours before booking date. Remaining 50% to be paid by first pickup time. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

We are available to accommodate up to 14 passengers in two vehicles on a single tour and will arrange pickup/dropoff at the address of your choosing.  Our rates of service are based upon the number of guests in your group, your pickup/dropoff location, what area of interest you choose to tour, & EITHER the tour package that you choose OR the number of tasting locations you request for a custom tour.

How it works with wine & beer tours of nova scotia, how many guests can you carry.

We operate two vehicles; 1x 9 Passenger Ford Transit Passenger Wagon XLT & 1x 5 Passenger Ford Transit Connect XLT for a total carrying capacity of 14 guests in one outing.

Can passengers consume alcohol inside of the Van?

No. We are not licensed for consumption of alcohol inside the van while we are in transport. Both us and you can incur heavy fines, so we greatly appreciate your understanding in this matter.

How long does a tour take?

The tour duration will fluctuate depending upon the number of locations we visit, where you choose to be picked up and if you choose options like a lunch reservation. On average the duration is approximately 4-7 hrs.

WHAT IS THE COST OF A TOUR?

The cost of the tours vary based on your specific needs. You can refer to our booking page to calculate the estimated cost and request a reservation. The ticket price is typically between 100$ to 200$ per person plus HST.

What is included in the tour?

In addition to the transportation and the booking of your itinerary the Tasting & Tour costs are included at each location that you visit. Light snacks and water are available for free on the van & a friendly knowledgeable guide will be with you to make sure all of your needs are taken care of.

Can we purchase items along the tour & take them home?

So long as your group does not bring too many items with them on board we have ample space in the trunk for any items that you might want to purchase and a cooler of ice for you to chill drinks for later.

Can I bring my own food to eat?

Yes, while you may not be able to bring food into dining areas at the locations that we visit you are more than welcome to bring food for you to munch on along the way. However, we do provide some light snacks and water for you already.

What time does the tour start?

We will provide an itinerary to you so that you will be aware of the pickup time, as it will depend upon your location of pickup. We are able to begin visiting our tasting partners at 11:00 a.m. So we usually will aim to reach your first location by then.

Where do we get picked up for the tour?

We will pick you up at one location of your choosing. Additional pickup locations are an upcharge.

The Annapolis and Avon Valley are home to several award-winning wineries, distilleries, craft breweries and cider makers.  Allow us to fill your day with an extraordinary tour through Nova Scotia's wine region in the Annapolis Valley .

All of our tours are intimately guided. Round trip transportation is provided within the Wolfville area. Tour and tasting fees for all locations. A gourmet lunch at one of our selected restaurants is included with your tour.

Tours are available from May through October.

Variety is the spice of life

We offer several different types of guided tours throughout Annapolis and Avon Valley. From beer, wine and spirits, there is sure to be something for everyone when taking one of our tours.

• What time does the tours begin? Arrive at pick up location by 10:15am
• Where is the pick up location? 620 Main Street, Wolfville Nova Scotia, Tattingstone Inn
• Can you pick us up? We offer complimentary pick up within the Wolfville area.
• How long is the tour? Usually between 4-4.5 hours
• What is your cancellation policy? 30 days prior a full refund, 15 days prior 50% refund and 7 days prior, no refund, fully charged for the tour. Please be aware during your tour if at anytime any person(s) become intoxicated or ill tempered the driver has the right to terminate the tour at anytime without compensation to the guest. Alcohol is not permitted on any of our vehicles. Should alcohol be consumed at any point during the tour on any of our vehicles we reserve the right to charge a $250.00 violation of services fee. Should a group leave one of our vehicle in an unsavoury manner we reserve the right to charge an additional cleaning fee, amount to be determined at time of cleaning.

Tour Includes: all transportation, a fun & professional wine tour guide, tour and tasting fees at 3 wineries, lunch with wine/cider/beer and server gratuities.

Lunch: 

Lunch will be served at Luckett Vineyards OR Lightfoot & Wolfville.  Lunch will be in their barrel cellar, restaurant or patio.  On rare occasions we may change the lunch venue without notice. Most dietary concerns can be accommodated. 

Luckett Vineyards Lunch  includes:  a choice of gourmet panini served with house green salad, beverage and server gratuities.

Lightfoot & Wolfville Lunch  includes:  Arancini appetizer, kale caesar salad and your choice of roman style pizza , beverage and server gratuities.

Payment is required when a reservation is made. Based on availability. Public tours operate with a minimum of 4 people. Credit card information is required at the time of booking. Tours cancelled or modified within 1 week of tour departure are 100% non-refundable. To reserve this tour for a private group, a minimum of 10 people is required.
