I was disappointed that a train ticket…

I was disappointed that a train ticket could not be amended for a return journey, despite informing Key Travel just over an hour after confirming the tickets were booked that we needed to amend the return journey. Plus there has been no follow up as to what the options are.

Hello Mrs Lewis, thank you for raising this and we're sorry you felt we were unable to manage your request. Changing of a ticket due to an incorrect route being booked is not permitted on train tickets. We're only amend the date or times of trains and not the route itself. This is a Trainline rule and not one we are unfortunately able to avoid.

No Ryanair flights on app

Ryanair flights did not show in the search, despite the front page assuring that they would. Had to wait for 15/20mins to be told in an online chat to buy direct from Ryanair.

Hello Lou, we're sorry to hear of your situation when trying to make a Ryanair booking. We would expect content to be available online, so we've requested additional information from you (please can you share with us the journey date and route). We can confirm that Ryanair has removed its inventory from multiple major distribution channels that supply many agencies’ online and offline Ryanair content. Key Travel, like many others is affected by this change. We continue to work with governing bodies like the BTA to seek a resolution to this with Ryanair. In the meantime, we will be happy to source other airline options for you so that you can book via Key Travel. Where Ryanair is required for travel, bookings will need to be made directly with the airline until the issue is resolved. However, if you can send us the trip details you were looking to make, we can ensure there is not another type of technical issue causing the problem.

Searching flights on the online booking…

Searching flights on the online booking tool was very easy and user friendly. The only real problem we had was getting flights approved and were getting nowhere as online booking tool had not been set up for approvals. After some unsuccessful emails to online team and phone calls to the London office we were told to wait 24h hours. I then called Amanda in reservations in the Manchester office and she sorted us out over the phone.

Great system

It was very easy to book the accommodation I needed and the price I got was fantastic but I think that was more to do with how far in advance I booked it rather than the deals on Key Travel.

You are right, booking in advance can provide lower rates, although we do offer choices of carbon neutral hotel rooms, if you're looking for that greener alternative and 'dogoodrates' which can offer discounts on some of the publicly available rates. Key Travel Oxford Team - thank you!

I am organising a fieldtrip to a small island in the Caribbeans and, as usual, have booked tickets from London via KT online. However, I was unable to book and pay online for a connecting 20 minute flight to the island, which can only be reached by a local low-cost carrier for 6 people. The success of the field trip depended on the researchers being able to get to the island on time. The Key Travel Oxford team helped me book and pay for these tickets. They put all the researchers on the same plane and thus solved an unsolvable problem for me.

A mixed bag but 5 stars to the Key Travel operative who resolved my issue!

I am giving 5 stars to the Key Travel operative who helped me confirm a hotel booking I had attempted to make by phone a few days previous. (Normally I'd use the e portal but one guest had a special request that I needed to convey). The first operative I'd spoken to had quoted me what turned out to be an overly high room rate for the chosen hotel and then inexplicably emailed back to say the hotel was full - information which subsequently proved to be incorrect! The second Key Travel operative who helped me when I followed this up was superbly helpful and completed the booking.

Some problems

good system, but for this time i got some problems regarding the booking of some hotels not Custumer rated. then, with Key travel assistance i booked one, but has been cancelled/not approved because was not "Custumer Rated". So, my doubts are: why to include the possibility to book an hotel if is is not allowed? just include the ones are bookable
