ISABELA II CRUISE REVIEWS

Cruise rating: 4.5 /5 - 3 customer reviews

Hello Vero! The Isabella II was wonderful! Exceeded our expectations. We think it needs a trip advisor review site as does your agency. Just fantastic!!!! Also, the Galapagos Suites Hotel on Santa Cruz was outstanding as well. So clean, fresh and such wonderful service! Lana December 2014 4.5
Hi Lorena, I just wanted to say Thanks again for a wonderful trip. We loved every minute of the trip. Quito was such a wonderful surprise and the trip to Otavalo was fantastic. Our guide Daniela could not have been nicer. She was terrific! The Galapagos was amazing. Everything went smoothly and the boat was very nice. The staff were great too. The naturalists were excellent. (There were 3 of them and only 30 people on the ship) I would absolutely recommend your company and services if any one needs to plan a trip to Ecuador. Best wishes to you and your new baby. Regards. Avrille Copans January 2013 4.5
Dear Lilian, Firstly, I must apologise for taking so long to write and thank you! We wanted to say a very big thank you to you for organising our holiday in Ecuador and the Galapagos in December. It really was fantastic and everything worked out very smoothly - all the connections were good, the guides were brilliant, the hotels superb, the landscapes and fauna/flora absolutely amazing - it was just perfect [no complaints!]. We will tell all our friends to book through you, without hesitation! Thank you again. Kind regards Drs David and Elizabeth Rollinson December 2011 4.5

Isabella II cruising the sea

Never satisfied with the status quo, the Isabela II provides a little something extra in every aspect of the passenger experience. Measuring in at 183 feet with 20 cabins for up to 40 guests, the Isabela II is a first-class luxury ship offering cruises through the Galapagos Islands.

Life Aboard The Isabela II Galapagos Cruise Ship

Welcome to your home in the Galapagos. What will you do while aboard? The choices are nearly endless, thanks to a large number of spacious decks and public spaces. Start at the alfresco lounge to catch your first glimpses of the birds and sea life of the Galapagos as the ship casts off. This is the perfect time to pick up a cold drink at the outdoor bar and toast to the one-in-a-lifetime experiences that will come in the days ahead. Then, relax in the hot tub while you work up an appetite for the evening meal.

The menu was conceived by the ship’s La Cordon Bleu-trained Gastronomic Director, and you will dine on gourmet dishes made from organic, top-quality ingredients. After dinner, spend the evening lounging in the entertainment room, work off the meal in the fitness room or participate in a stargazing program.

If you must check your email, or if you want to share a photo of yourself with the tortoise you met on the day’s excursion, there is WIFI in the public spaces and the business center. Before you disembark for the last time, be sure to stop by the ship’s boutique and take home a treasure.

No matter what you do aboard, you can feel good about the ship’s commitment to sustainability. The Isabela II is a low-fuel consumption ship that protects the Galapagos’ water through the usage of onboard wastewater treatment and water desalination.

Excursions From Your Isabela Galapagos Cruise

The Isabela II has perfected three itineraries around the archipelago, including two five-day cruises and a seven-day option. In addition to hitting the most popular sites on the Galapagos, you will have the privilege of visiting several exclusive sites.

Each itinerary is designed to help you have a personal experience with the islands’ diverse wildlife, including the Big 15 species. Imagine yourself snorkeling with penguins on Bartolome Island, observing sharks off Santa Fe, or spying marine iguanas on Santiago Island. Fill your days with glass-bottom boat rides, birdwatching hikes, kayaking, and paddleboarding.

More Guides For More Exploration

The Galapagos National Park requires a minimum of one naturalist guide per 16 guests, making that the standard ratio found on many ships in the region. True to their philosophy of maximizing the passenger experience, the Isabela II improves on this ratio. The guide-to-guest ratio on this ship hovers around 1:11.

Beyond the numbers, what is the benefit for you? Additional guides allow you to explore the Galapagos in smaller groups. You will have more personalized attention, more time for discussions, and more up-close animal encounters. The difference could be you photographing a penguin wadding across the shore or standing behind someone else while they snag the shot.

The experienced, close-knit crew of the Isabela II, including top-ranking Naval officers, is dedicated to providing the highest levels of customer service. A cruise aboard the Isabela II is ideal for travelers who value attention to detail, blended with comfort and personal encounters with the Big 15 species of the Galapagos.

Itineraries & Prices

All itineraries are subject to change due to seasonal weather conditions (and resultant variations in river and tributary water levels) affecting accessibility to locations. Thus navigation routes, times and excursions may need to be modified at the cruise captain’s or your guide's discretion.

5 Day - Northern Islands

itinerary map

Embarkation

AM : After landing at Baltra Airport, we drive to the Itabaca Channel to take a ferry across to Santa Cruz Island. A 30-minute bus ride takes us up to the fascinating, more humid Highlands of the island where we’ll learn about its unique ecosystems and biodiversity. Lunch is served at a local restaurant.

PM : After lunch, we drive to a nearby reserve that is one of the best places in the archipelago to see giant tortoises in their natural habitat. The tortoises are easy to spot, lumbering around, munching on grass and leaves, and wallowing in small pools. There are several lava tunnels to explore in the reserve, too. A short bus ride takes us down to Puerto Ayora to board Yacht Isabela II.

Isabela II’s 5-Day Northern Itinerary Day One - Embarkation.

Puerto Egas & Chinese Hat Islet

AM : Following a wet landing, on the black sandy beach, our trail takes us to enjoy close-up encounters with recently-reintroduced land iguanas, plus land and marine birds amid a landscape of tuff-stone layers, craggy rocks, and lava flows. At low tide, marine iguanas graze upon the algae beds. We can also observe a colony of fur seals, usually dozing in the shade of some rocks.

PM : This islet, formed only fairly recently, makes a beautiful afternoon visit as we explore the wildlife along with its 1,312 ft long (400 m long) trail, which begins at a crescent-shaped, white sandy beach. The cove offers excellent swimming and snorkeling opportunities amid white-tipped reef sharks and Galapagos penguins.

Isabela II’s 5-Day Northern Itinerary Day Two - Snorkelling Excursion.

Prince Philip’s Steps & Darwin Bay

AM : The day kicks off with a panga ride along the cliffs of “Bird Island”, (as Genovesa is affectionately nicknamed), followed by a landing at a steep staircase which connects us with a flat plateau. From here, the trail winds its way through large colonies of Nazca boobies, red-footed boobies, great frigatebirds, and storm petrels. With luck, we’ll be able to spot the short-eared owl. Those who do not wish to disembark can enjoy a longer panga (inflatable dinghy) ride along the cliffs, weather conditions permitting. Snorkeling and kayaking activities are available.

PM : We land after lunch at the beautiful white beach of Darwin Bay. Here we walk amid literally hundreds of birds, most of which are frigatebirds, red-footed and Nazca boobies, as well as gulls, herons, finches, and mockingbirds.

Isabela II’s 5-Day Northern Itinerary Day Three - Red-Footed Booby Sighting.

Santa Fe & Punta Carrion

AM : We take the dinghy over to this idyllic sandy-white beach populated by colonies of sea lions. Galapagos hawks are often easily observed, perched atop salt bushes. The Santa Fe land iguana may be spotted during our exploration! Following the walk, we can snorkel and swim along a natural wave barrier or ride the glass-bottom boat.

PM : In the afternoon, we make our way around to the northern coast of Santa Cruz Island, to the eastern mouth of the Itabaca Channel. Boarding our dinghies, we explore this rocky coastline’s interesting formations, plant life, and wildlife. All before enjoying the marine world with a mask and snorkel, or aboard our glass-bottom boat. If we are lucky, we will come across playful sea lions, dozens of reef fish. Different types of puffers, surgeonfish, angelfish, groupers, hogfish, hawkfish, parrotfish, blenny, and hopefully white-tipped reef sharks.

Isabela II’s 5-Day Northern Itinerary Day Four - Sea Lion Sighting in the Galapagos.

Disembarkation

AM : After breakfast, we will transfer you directly to Baltra airport to assist you with your departure flight, and bid you a final farewell.

Isabela II’s 5-Day Northern Itinerary Day Five - Disembarkation.

5 Day - Western Islands

itinerary map

AM : After landing at Baltra Airport, we drive to the Itabaca Channel to take a ferry across to Santa Cruz Island. A 30-minute bus ride takes us to a restaurant in the fascinating, more humid Highlands of the island to enjoy lunch, and then continue south down to Puerto Ayora on the coast.

PM : At the eastern end of Puerto Ayora, the largest town in the archipelago, we visit the Charles Darwin Research Station and the Giant Tortoise Breeding Center, the islands’ headquarters for scientific research and conservation. Later in the afternoon, we stroll along the main street of Puerto Ayora before embarking. Captain’s welcome cocktail and dinner.

Isabela II’s 5-Day Western Itinerary Day One - Giant Galapagos Tortoise.

Bartolome Island & Sullivan Bay

AM : This morning, a Galapagos icon awaits: Bartolome Island. A great way to start the day, with a steep climb up a wooden staircase: the panoramic view from the top is well worth the effort! Following the walk, we take a  panga  ride around colossal Pinnacle Rock in search of Galapagos penguins and other wildlife.

PM : After lunch, we board the pangas (inflatable dinghies) and land at Sullivan Bay on the east coast of Santiago, a white coral sand beach that is ideal for swimming. A trail runs along a lava field that flowed here around 100 years ago. This is the perfect place to see and understand the volcanic origin of the Galapagos.

Isabela II’s 5-Day Western Itinerary Day Two - White Sandy Beaches in the Galapagos.

Dragon Hill, Salt Mine & James Bay

AM : The north coast of Santa Cruz hosts the fascinating landscapes of Dragon Hill. After disembarking, the first part of our walk passes a brackish-water lagoon frequented by shorebirds, ducks, and American flamingos. Further inland the trail offers a beautiful view of the bay and the western islands of the archipelago, as well as the observation of land iguanas. After our walk, we can snorkel from the shore, hoping to spot rays, green turtles, and sharks.

PM : Our wet landing on James Bay follows in the footsteps of Charles Darwin. The young naturalist spent about six days exploring this island in 1835, enthralled not only by the species he encountered but also by the vegetation and the fascinating geological formations. Our hike takes us uphill to one of these for panoramic views: a crater filled with brackish water. The salt from this lagoon was mined in the 20th century, but the businesses didn’t prosper. More active explorers can hike around the cone.

Isabela II’s 5-Day Western Itinerary Day Three - Land Iguana Sighting at Dragon Hill.

Punta Vicente Roca & Punta Espinoza

AM : Since there is no landing site at this location, we explore the captivating coast by dinghy, seeking out abundant wildlife including colonies of Galapagos fur seals, the nesting sites of Nazca boobies, not to mention flightless cormorants, penguins, and marine iguanas. Depending on the conditions of the ocean, we’ll be able to snorkel along the cliffs, hopefully in the company of green sea turtles. Back on board, we navigate along the Bolivar Channel, where nutrient-rich upwellings provide fertile fishing grounds for cetaceans.

PM : We end our journey on a high note, by visiting the island of Fernandina, the youngest island of the archipelago, and arguably one of the most pristine ecosystems on the planet. Our visitor site of Punta Espinoza boasts an amazing combination of apparently barren landscapes and abundant wildlife, all dominated by the lofty volcano at the heart of the island. Highlights to spot include hawks, penguins, huge numbers of marine iguanas, and the famous flightless cormorant, with its beguiling blue eyes.

Isabela II’s 5-Day Western Itinerary Day Four - Exploring the Galapagos Islands.

7 Day - Southern & Eastern Islands

itinerary map

AM : We land at Baltra Island by plane in the morning and transfer to the nearby dock to board Yacht Isabela II, where we receive a welcome introductory briefing, boat drill, and lunch.

PM : This beautiful visitor site is located on the north shore of Santa Cruz Island, a glorious white beach with a couple of brackish lagoons only a few steps away from the sea. These lagoons are the feeding grounds of various wading birds, from stilts to flamingos. You may enjoy swimming at this beach, too. Back on the ship, we will settle in with a welcome cocktail, a briefing on the next day’s expedition plan, and a delicious dinner.

Isabela II’s 7-Day Itinerary Day One - Embarkation.

Cerro Colorado & Punta Pitt

AM : We disembark at Puerto Baquerizo Moreno and drive 40 minutes to the island’s southern shore. At Cerro Colorado, we visit the breeding center for highly endangered giant tortoises amid a fantastic deciduous forest, home to dozens of bird species, including the San Cristobal mockingbird, as well as the endemic San Cristobal lava lizard.

PM : In the afternoon, we land on the eastern tip of the island. The trail that ascends from the beach provides spectacular views of the shoreline. It is the only site in the Galapagos where the 3 species of boobies can be found together, as well as the two frigatebird species, plus a colony of bachelor sea lions. If conditions are favorable, there is a chance to swim, kayak, or snorkel from the beach or take an inflatable dinghy ride.

Isabela II’s 7-Day Itinerary Day Two - Frigatebird Sighting.

Gardner Bay & Punta Suarez

AM : In the morning, we’ll set foot on this beautiful, white coral beach and go on a short walk to observe the sea lions, mockingbirds, finches, or simply enjoy the beach. Kayaking, snorkeling, an inflatable dinghy-ride, or a ride on the glass-bottom boat are offered here.

PM : Following lunch on board, our afternoon outing at Punta Suarez takes us on an exciting trail across lava/boulder terrain. Along the way, we can enjoy unique sea bird colonies, including the beautiful waved albatrosses, boobies, swallow-tail gulls, and the famous “blowhole”. This island is also famous for its colorful and sizable marine iguanas. All in all, a fantastic visit.

Isabela II’s 7-Day Itinerary Day Three - Snorkeling with Sea Lions.

Cormorant Point, Post Office Bay & Baroness Cove

AM : We disembark in the morning at the curiously green-tinged, olivine-crystal beach. An easy walk to a brackish water lagoon where American flamingos can be spotted. Crossing over to the other side of the island, we come to a white-sand beach where sea turtles come out at night to nest. At Champion Islet, guests can choose between snorkeling, a  panga  ride, or a ride in our glass-bottom boat.

PM : After lunch, we land at Post Office Bay to visit the historic barrel that has served as an informal post office in the archipelago for over two centuries. Snorkeling off the beach will be offered afterward.

Isabela II’s 7-Day Itinerary Day Four - Flamingo Sighting.

Punta Moreno & Punta Mangle

AM : In the morning, following a meander through the mangroves in search of sea turtles, we disembark amid a landscape dominated by the giant volcanoes of southern Isabela Island, some still active. The rugged trail loops inland from the coast, giving us plenty of opportunity to enjoy unique lava formations, pioneer lava cactus, and interesting scalesia trees, as well as plenty of wildlife: Galapagos penguins, flightless cormorants, brown pelicans, herons, sea lions, marine iguanas, and dozens of Sally Lightfoot crabs. The inland lagoons are home to Bahama-pintail ducks, common stilts, Galapagos flamingos, and even Galapagos hawks and mockingbirds. Following our walk, we can take to our glass-bottom boats or deep-water snorkel.

PM : Venturing across to Fernandina Island, in the afternoon we board our pangas (inflatable dinghies) to explore the coastline of the archipelago’s youngest ecosystem, a virgin, pristine world of tiny bays, tall mangroves (mangle is Spanish for mangrove), and tranquil coves, home to diminutive Galapagos penguins and green-eyed flightless cormorants preening on the shore’s black rocks. Beneath the waves, rays and sea turtles might glide by. The nutrient-rich waters of the Bolivar Channel, which separates Fernandina and Isabela islands, attract dolphins and whales. With luck, we’ll be able to spot them. Depending on sea conditions, we end our visit with a glass-bottom boat ride or deep-water snorkel.

Isabela II’s 7-Day Itinerary Day Five - Exploring the Galapagos Islands.

Eden Islet & North Seymour Island

AM : A panga ride takes us to Eden Islet, located off the coast of Santa Cruz, where we can observe blue-footed boobies, reef sharks, and frigatebirds. There’s a chance to snorkel and, if weather conditions permit, to ride in the glass-bottom boat. The volcanic setting of this area is quite stunning.

PM : We have saved one of the best visitor sites in the archipelago for last. In the afternoon, we disembark for a walk along the coast and the interior of this beautiful flat island. Ambling between numerous nesting frigatebirds, some male frigatebirds displaying their balloon-like red gular sacs. We also see land iguanas and sea lion colonies along the coastline. We can explore the coast by dinghy, too, seeking out fur seals, and enjoying a fun, deep-water snorkel. Tonight you can enjoy your final evening briefing, farewell cocktail, and dinner.

Isabela II Galapagos Cruise

Isabela II Galápagos Cruise

The perfect luxury yacht for nature lovers, a galápagos cruise on board the isabela ii.

Isabela II Galapagos Cruise

  • Superb amenities like internet, gym, boutique and library;
  • Only 40 guests maximum means you still enjoy an intimate experience;
  • Al fresco dining and superb sundeck with jacuzzi;
  • One of the most experienced crews in the islands.

With only 20 elegant cabins but 3 decks to explore, the luxury yacht Isabela II offers more amenities than smaller boats in the fleet yet retains an intimate and personal feel. Guests on board Isabela enjoy service from one of the most consistent crews in the islands - many of her 26 have been with her for years. This means amazing attention to detail and levels of knowledge that will make your trip very special indeed.

More amenities Fully renovated in 2014, Isabela II boasts many features you won’t find on any other ship. There’s a superb fully glazed fitness centre on the sundeck, providing an unparalleled view for your morning workout. The dedicated al fresco restaurant provides welcome shade whilst allowing you to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature with your superb meals.

The cosy salon with extensive bar is the perfect place to relax and socialize, and the reading room with dedicated natural history library is a haven of peace and knowledge. On board internet access with wifi connection means you can stay in touch and share your adventures with friends and family.

Elegant sophistication Air conditioned throughout, Isabela II is decorated in an elegant and timeless style. Natural woods, soft neutral fabrics and clean, crisp whites set the tone throughout the ship - a wonderful mix of modern style with classic maritime details. Cabins are bright and airy with large windows and plenty of natural illumination. Lighter woods, cream walls and crisp linens contrast with warm earthy tones on the fully-carpeted floors. All cabins have private en suite bathrooms with full size showers, hair dryers and full-height mirrors.

Outside spaces are beautifully laid to teak or ocean-blue finishes with stylish and comfortable seating and loungers. There’s a wonderful wood-clad jacuzzi tub in the centre of the sun deck - a perfect place to unwind after your amazing wildlife excursions.

An expert team Isabella II’s captain and senior crew are all top-ranking naval officers who know the waters of the archipelago intimately, with over 60 years experience between them. Isabella carries a fully qualified medical officer on board for complimentary guest consultations, available 24/7. Your fully bilingual naturalist guides give you fascinating presentations about the land and marine wildlife you will see, ask any of your questions, and lead you on some amazing excursions to land and sea.

The yacht carries her own snorkeling equipment for guests to enjoy (with wetsuits for hire if required) as well as a fleet of ocean-going kayaks. For those who don’t swim (or don’t wish to) there’s no need to miss out - Isabela II has her very own glass-bottomed boat. There are few better vessels to choose as your base for your Galápagos adventures.

Our comments Isabela II has all the benefits that a larger boat bring, but with only 20 cabins and 26 crew none of the impersonality. We love the al fresco dining room and we think she has one of the best bars in the islands. The fact that so many of her crew have been with her so long is proof she’s a well-run and happy ship, and we always find her guides can really get across the magic of the Galápagos.

This is a very experienced crew. Captain Richard tells us he's been skipper for over 10 years, and hotel manager Gerd has extensive hotel industry experience and speaks English, German, Spanish and French. Your chef is Alsibar, he beats both of them with over 20 years experience on board! Speaking of food, his kitchen serves wonderful Ecuadorian specialities, including suckling pig and ceviche. Very traditional and very delicious.

In terms of excursions and naturalist experience, this ship is very well-equipped. She has her own infrared camera which they use to show the temperature of cold-blooded animals, microscope and other scientific equipment used on excursions to let you really understand the nature of the islands.

Food & Drinks on board the Isabela II

The food on our Galapágos Cruises is among the very best you will find in South America. Most of the on-board chefs are internationally trained and have prior experience working in the best hotels and restaurants in Ecuador and indeed around the world.

You can expect a first-class selection of food, including a good variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, locally sourced poultry and fish/seafood, rice and pasta dishes. Most boats will always include some typical Ecuadorian dishes on the menu during your cruise. If you have specific dietary requirements then these can usually be accommodated by the chef providing you have given advance notice. Please make sure you tell us about any allergies or dietary requirements you have at the time you book with us. If you leave it until you arrive at the dockside, then it may well be impossible to accommodate your needs.

Most boats serve a range of options at meal times in a relaxed buffet-style. At the first class and luxury end of the market, some boats have more formal dining where you will be served at your seat. However the atmosphere is always relaxed on board our cruises, and never stuffy or formal.

At Galapatours we love and respect the pristine ecosystems and fascinating wildlife of the Galápagos Islands. To protect the archipelago, all vessels in Galápagos must have sophisticated water filtration systems, modern, efficient engines, and strict maintenance schedules to minimize pollution. Furthermore, The Galápagos National Park authority defines exact cruising routes that dictate which ships can visit which highlights at what day and time, as well as limiting passenger numbers.

But at Galapatours we like to go even further: We voluntarily offset all the CO2 emissions of every cruise we sell - at no cost to you. You can also play your part by traveling responsibly and following our Eco Guidelines during your stay. Click here to find out more about these guidelines, our commitment to sustainable tourism, and the Galápagos National Park rules.

CruiseCritic

CruiseCritic Review of the Isabella II 40-passenger Isabella II is an expedition yacht offering year-round cruises in the Galapagos Islands. The former supply ship was built in 1979 and reconstructed for Metropolitan Touring in 1988. Like its sisters, the ship is regularly refreshed; the most recent dry-dock occurred in September 2012. Here's what you can expect aboard Isabella II Galapagos cruise: Cruise fare: what's included. The cost of the cruise includes excursions (island treks, snorkeling, kayaking, etc.), all meals and snacks, lectures and snorkeling equipment (masks, fins, snorkel). Three-millimeter "shortie" wetsuits, which are recommended during the June/July to December cool season, can be rented onboard. Wi-Fi, which is available in Isabella II's lounge and small library, and sodas/adult beverages are also extra. Expedition essentials. Passengers cruise with one expedition leader and two naturalist guides. Other expedition accouterments found on Isabella II include sit-on-top sea kayaks, a glass-bottom boat, and three "pangas," the omnipresent water taxis that facilitate ship-to-shore transportation in the Galapagos. A doctor is also stationed permanently onboard should passengers run into any minor issues with the equatorial sun, wasps or seasickness. Cabins. Isabella II features 18 139-square-foot inside cabins (Classic), one 128-square-foot inside cabin (Standard) and one 170-square-foot Master Suite Cabin with picture window. (These snug accommodations are par for the course in expedition cruising.) There is some variation in cabin configuration; the Classic cabins feature either fixed twin(ish) beds that run parallel or fixed twin(ish) and singles that form an "L." The one Standard features a twin-sized bed, and the Master Suite has a queen. Cabins amenities include hair dryers, telephones, safes and 110-volt, U.S.-style outlets. Dining. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served open seating at designated times in Isabella II's dining room. Breakfast and lunch are buffet-style while dinner is served course-by-course. The occasional meal is also served alfresco on a top-ship (covered) secondary venue. Post-excursion snacks (juice and pigs 'n blankets, say) are offered daily. Public spaces. The social hub of the yacht is the comb bar-lecture room, which is used for evening briefings, video presentations and as a destination before-and-after dinner drinks. An adjacent mini-library houses a pair of Web-ready computers and a collection of books about South America, the Galapagos and wildlife. (Wi-Fi is available in the library and bar/lecture room.) Isabella II's lobby features a small boutique selling logo hats, shirts and jackets, as well as a variety of travel essentials for forgetful passengers (sun block, aloe, sunglasses). An exercise room contains a bike, elliptical and treadmill. The yacht's sun deck features a smattering of wicker loungers and a jacuzzi with room to comfortably accommodate six passengers.

Trip Report - Isabela II Galapagos - Amazing!!! The boat was really nice. It was a 40-passenger boat, but there were only 33 people on our trip, so we had a little extra space. The bottom floor had a bar / big lounge where we did our evening briefings about what we would see the next day. It also had the dining room, gift shop, and hospitality desk if you needed anything. There was wifi on board and it could be accessed on this floor. I believe it was $15 for the week (that could be wrong), but there was also a little computer lab if you didn't want to pay that and needed to get online. The second floor had all of our rooms. Although not huge, the room was actually a little bigger than I expected. We had two beds, a little couch, a desk, two small bedside tables, and a closet. There was an outlet under the desk and one in the bathroom which we used to charge our phones and cameras. The third floor had an open deck with another bar, a hot tub, workout room, and a place where you get all of your snorkeling equipment to use for the week (mask and flippers are free; wet suits can be rented for $15 for the week). Food: The food was really amazing on this boat. We had buffets for almost every meal, and there were several options for entrees (multiple types of meat, seafood, and vegetarian options). You could eat as much as you wanted and everything was very tasty. In between meals, they served hot appetizers when we came back from afternoon adventures and gave out free juice and water. Drinks from the bar were extra -- sodas were $2, beer was $3, wine was $8 a glass. You just tell them your room number and you settle up the tab at the end. Passengers: My friend and I (both mid-30s) were a little worried that we might be the youngest people on the boat. We weren't. We were actually pleasantly surprised by the nice mix of people on the boat. There were some older retired couples, a few families, other 30-somethings, teenagers, etc. We actually really enjoyed getting to know the fellow passengers on our boat and didn't have anyone annoying on board! Illness: I was really scared that I was going to get seasick on this boat. I've had experiences where I've been really ill on other boats, so part of why I chose this one is because they had a 24-hour doctor on board. I brought two packs of dramamine with me too. Didn't need any of it! The boat was very nice and I didn't feel sick at any point. Didn't even need to take the dramamine! Snorkeling: I was scared to death of snorkeling before coming on this boat too. They ask if anyone is new at snorkeling and helped me through everything. They fitted me for the equipment, helped me get a wetsuit, taught me how to clean the mask so it wouldn't fog up, and the guide let me stay close to him the entire time I was in the water. As it turns out, snorkeling is amazing. We saw tons of cool fish, sea lions, sharks, sting rays, etc. in the water. At the end of the trip, a sea lion swam up to my face and smiled at me before swimming underneath me and disappearing. I really appreciated the guides helping to teach me how to overcome my fear on this trip! I owe them a lot! The day-time adventures to the islands were really fun and we saw tons of animals. I made a 5-minute video of the animal footage I captured if you'd like to check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eadFvdBKiNs On the last night of the boat trip, they served us a farewell cocktail and showed us a slide show of our adventures. I believe they're going to post all of the pictures on Facebook, so you can download them later if you didn't bring a good camera with you. We also had a karaoke party on the last night and all of us sang and had a great time. This was probably the best vacation of my life. John, Carlos, and Mariuxi were amazing guides. I would highly recommend Isabela II to anyone I know.

Where Is Isabella Cruise Now? Updates on Her Life Today

Coleman-Rayner

Where is isabella cruise now updates on tom cruise and nicole kidman’s daughter today.

Octomom Nadya Suleman Children

Fans of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman have wondered where their adopted daughter Isabella Cruise is today and what she’s doing with her life after choosing to remain out of the spotlight, not even attending her famous parents’ premieres and other events.

Where Is Isabella Cruise Now?

As of late 2023, Bella was living in a three-bedroom property in South London, England, with her husband, Max Parker , and their pet lizard.

She reportedly turned down her dad’s offer to live in his $400,000 per month penthouse in London’s historic Corinthia Residences in 2020, preferring a more independent life.

What Does Isabella Cruise Do for a Living?

She works as an artist and her Instagram page is filled with her colorful drawings.

In 2018, the creative young lady launched her own fashion brand called BKC, for “Bella Kidman Cruise.” Her website noted, “Bella has been drawing ever since her wee hands could pick up a pen. Since that point in time she’s been evolving in her arts.”

It continued, “Her go-to medium was pen and paper for most of her life. However, she is now venturing into other formats and mediums. Including digital. Which has been a bit of a game changer in her opinion. We hope you dig it.”

Bella sells everything from T-shirts to tote bags to pins featuring her designs, as well as limited edition prints of her artwork.

When Did Isabella Cruise Get Married?

Bella married her British boyfriend, IT consultant Max Parker, in a September 2015 London Church of Scientology wedding. The pair dated for a year prior after being introduced by mutual friends.

Neither Tom nor Nicole was present for the ceremony. The reception was held at the posh Dorchester Hotel in the city’s Mayfair area.

When Did Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman Adopt Isabella Cruise?

The former Hollywood power couple, who married on December 24, 1990, adopted Isabella in 1992 shortly after her birth. The pair grew their family by adopting a son, Connor , in January 1995. Tom filed for divorce from Nicole in February 2001 citing “irreconcilable differences.” He listed their date of separation as December 21, 2000, three days shy of their 10th wedding anniversary. Their divorce was finalized in August 2001.

Does Isabella Cruise Have a Relationship With Her Parents?

Although the pair haven’t been photographed together since 2007, Bella told New Idea magazine in 2011, “I love mom. [Nicole’s] my mom. She’s great. I see her sometimes and I speak to her,” adding, “We’re a very close family. I love all of our family,” after speculation arose that Nicole was estranged from her children with Tom due to her not being a member of the Church of Scientology.

In 2016, Bella told MailOnline of her divorced parents, “Of course [we talk], they’re my parents. Anyone who says otherwise is full of s–t.”

Nicole Kidman Opened Up About Her Children Being Scientologists

The Emmy winner told Who magazine in November 2018 about how respectful she is of her adoptive children remaining with the Church of Scientology, especially since they were now adults.

“I’m very private about all that. I have to protect all those relationships. I know 150 percent that I would give up my life for my children because it’s what my purpose is.”

“They are able to make their own decisions. They have made choices to be Scientologists and, as a mother, it’s my job to love them,” she continued. “And I am an example of that tolerance and that’s what I believe – that no matter what your child does, the child has love and the child has to know there is available love, and I’m open here.”

“I think that’s so important because if that is taken away from a child, to sever that in any child, in any relationship, in any family – I believe it’s wrong. So that’s our job as a parent, to always offer unconditional love,” Nicole added.
