Convenient transportation and clean facilities inside.”

I discovered this place while looking for a place for my family of four to stay. The main bed was comfortable and the sofa bed was also a good size for elementary and middle school-aged children. The room was cleaned every day for a week and was always neat and satisfactory. Breakfast was included in the reservation, and although it was the same menu every day, there was enough variety and it was tasty. By the way, when you order pancakes or waffles for breakfast, they make and serve them well, but unfortunately, I only found out about this on the last day and was only able to order them once during the week, which was a shame. On days when the breakfast time was inconvenient due to local tours, if you make a reservation in advance, the reception will arrange breakfast at a time that suits you, which was also excellent. As it was a room for four people, there was a built-in washing machine, dryer, microwave, refrigerator, and iron, which we used well. The location was very close to Tower Hill, about a minute away, and there were also nearby tourist attractions within walking distance, making it easy to access. It was also convenient to use both buses and subways, and there was a nearby Coop and Starbucks.

In London, there are hotels with great value for money.”

The location is excellent, only a 10-minute walk to the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, and London Tower Pier. The room is very spacious and offers great value for money in London. It is cleaned very well and there are plenty of towels and toiletries provided, with ample water replenished every day. Our family of four was very comfortable staying here. The self-service breakfast is also great, although it is the same every day, it met our needs.

When we booked our room, there was a discrepancy between the room type and what we had imagined. Upon arrival, we informed the hotel staff and expressed our willingness to pay extra to upgrade to a different room type. When the front desk learned that we were on our honeymoon, they immediately agreed to upgrade us for free. The room was very clean and spacious, and they even gave us a small honeymoon gift. It truly made our honeymoon trip perfect, and we are grateful for the hotel staff's excellent service.

Wonderful long stay at Tower Suites”

My stay at Tower Suites by Blue Orchid was nothing short of exceptional. Nestled in a prime location, it offered the convenience of the city with easy access to two tube and a DLR station. The staff greeted me with warm smiles and were attentive to every need, making me feel right at home. The room was a revelation of luxury and comfort, boasting spaciousness that is a rare find in the city, complemented by top-notch amenities that catered to both my rest and recreation needs. The newly available terrace added a fresh dimension to the experience, providing a tranquil space to unwind without overshadowing the suite's elegant charm. Breakfast was a delightful affair each morning, with a variety of options to choose from, but it was the waffles that truly stood out—crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and just the right amount of sweetness to start the day on a high note. In all, Tower Suites by Blue Orchid didn't just meet my expectations, it exceeded them, making it a memorable part of my journey.

Great stay at Tower Suites”

Perfect location and great service. After check in our room did not have the best layout for a stay with small children. We were immediately switched to a different room which was better for us. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room itself was beautiful and clean. Daily cleaning and replenishing of coffee/tea/cookies and mineral water was an unexpected bonus. Beds were comfortable and rooms were very quiet. Only thing we could think of that could be improved slightly was the breakfast buffet. Yoghurt, fresh fruit and granola/cereal selection was a bit limited, but that is more of a personal preference. English hot breakfast, croissants, breads and pastries were all excellent. Also good coffee which is great! All in all a great hotel, and would definitely return!

If you want to stay in absolute luxury on the fabulous new Disney Wish, the Tower Suite is the ultimate place to snag a reservation.

Located in a unique position in the Disney Wish Funnel, the Tower Suite is truly a unique place to call home on your Disney Cruise.

The Disney Wish Funnel Suite

Where is the Disney Wish Tower Suite on the ship? Right inside the funnel!

High up on Deck 14 of the Disney Wish you will find the amazing and highly unique Disney Wish Tower Suite.

All of the Disney ships have two funnels. However, only one is needed for the actual mechanics of the ship.

When the original Disney Classic ship, the Magic, was designed, the Imagineers wanted a classic look reminiscent of the cruise ship design at the beginning of the twentieth century.

Therefore the second funnel on each of the Disney ships is “decorative” but the inside space is used. On the Disney Magic and Wonder it is used for the Vibe and on the Fantasy and Dream, the Edge.

On the Disney Wish the space is put to spectacular use as the Tower Suite. Sure to be one of the most amazing cruise suites at sea, the design takes it’s inspiration from the free spirited Moana.

“Each of our theme parks has a majestic icon that captures our guests’ imaginations,” said Laura Cabo, portfolio creative executive, Walt Disney Imagineering. “On a Disney cruise ship, that beacon of magic is our signature red funnels. For the first time ever, guests aboard the Disney Wish will be able to book an incredible two-story suite that’s actually located within one of our funnels. With the Wish Tower Suite, we are creating a breathtaking experience that continues our tradition of the most unique and enchanting accommodations at sea.”

The  piece de resistance  will be a hand-crafted porcelain sculpture that comes alive in an only-Disney-can-do way. When guests arrive home to the Wish Tower Suite, they may discover the statue pulsing in myriad hues of green amid soft chimes that recall the film’s distinctive soundtrack, revealing itself as the heart of Te Fiti. The special lighting and audio effects will eventually fill the room to provide a truly magical, one-of-a-kind greeting.

Disney Wish Tower Suite Facts

The Tower Suite on the Disney Wish is a 1,966-square-foot penthouse which offers elegant design and amazing concierge service.

This Concierge Suite will comfortably sleep up to eight guests. That is the most of any stateroom on the Disney Wish.

There are two main bedrooms, a children’s room and a library that converts to a bedroom. And let’s not forget the four and a half bathrooms!

The second floor loft is reached by way of a spiral staircase.

The overall design and spirit of the Disney Wish is the concept of Enchantment. As you can see here from the concept art which shows the living room, the huge space is both beautiful and practical.

We are told that the Tower Suite will feature a very special hand-crafted porcelain sculpture which has a dynamic way of welcoming guests to their Disney Wish stateroom suite.

When guests arrive home to the Wish Tower Suite, they may discover the statue pulsing in myriad hues of green amid soft chimes that recall the film’s distinctive soundtrack, revealing itself as the heart of Te Fiti. The special lighting and audio effects will eventually fill the room to provide a truly magical, one-of-a-kind greeting.

It will certainly be interesting to see what this sculpture does!

We don’t yet know what the Disney Wish Tower Suite Price would be – but you can be sure that it will be out of the reach of most of us!

Tower Suite Living Room

There is a large dining table to accommodate all the suite guests. On the other Disney ships, Suite Concierge guests can enjoy all meals in their stateroom if they want to. This includes Palo. No doubt things will be the same on the Disney Wish.

There is also a bar and pantry which will be kept well stocked with whatever your ask your Concierge for.

Just look at those huge floor to ceiling windows! The views will be incredible.

Wondering how you are going to close the curtains at night? Of course you just push a button for the motorized sheer and blackout drapes to open and close!

You may notice though that there is one thing missing from the Tower Suite. A verandah!

Obviously, that couldn’t be incorporated into the design. For some, even though this is clearly an amazing suite on the Disney Wish, will it be a deal-breaker?

There are four other Concierge Suites available so it will be interesting to see which is the most popular.

Disney Wish Tower Suite Bedrooms

The Tower Suite has two main bedrooms, a children’s room, and a library which converts to a bedroom

The two bedrooms have King beds. All bedrooms have luxurious fine linens from Frette. Anyone who has ever spent a night on a Disney Cruise knows that the beds and linens are incredible.

Imagine that view from the master bedroom through those floor to ceiling windows! The decor is subtle and understated – just very luxurious

The second master bedroom in the funnel is very similar – just with different accent colors on the bedding.

Disney Wish Tower Suite Children’s Bedroom and Library

This third bedroom is designed for children and has bunk beds.

We are told that the library converts to a bedroom. Although we aren’t shown I would guess that this is going to be a murphy type bed that comes down from the wall. It may even be under the Moana picture but it isn’t clear.

Don’t you just love that picture of Moana?

You can see here that each room has that wonderful deep blue color as an accent. The main living room has a wall this color, the master has it on the furniture and accent bedding. It evokes images of the ocean which is of course perfect for the Moana theme.

A close-up of the bookcase shows the books as being about art and design. Just look at the attention to detail too.

Tower Suite Disney Wish Bathroom

The bathroom in the Tower Suite is stunning. That fabulous bath tub looks very inviting.

The design is modern with lots of clean lines and gold accents. The blue art work on the wall above the bath gives a very distinctive look of the islands and the ocean.

Disney Wish Concierge Royal Suites

How will the Tower Suite compare with the Royal Suites on the Disney Wish?

There are four of the Royal Suites. Two will have 2 levels and the other 2 will be on one level.

The theme for the decor of the Royal Suites is the classic Sleeping Beauty movie.

There will be two P rincess Aurora Royal Suites  and two  Briar Rose Royal Suites .

The Royal Suites feature two main bedrooms each with a king bed and a large living area with a queen convertible sofa.

These Royal Suites also have a private verandah with a whirlpool view and are 1,507 square feet. They sleep 6 guests in amazing luxury.

As you can see from the Disney Wish concept art, there are certain themes in the decor which both the Tower Suite and the Royal Suites have.

The swirls of pattern for the light fixtures which echo the design of the Disney Wish atrium chandelier, the gold fittings and even the beautiful but simple white flower arrangements.

Which will be the more popular? The Tower Suite or the Royal Suite? It is difficult to tell before the launch of the Disney Wish, but I have to say that if I was to pick on design alone, I would choose one of the Royal Suites.

The reason? I prefer the decor of the Royal Suites – for me they are more enchanted and less modern than the Tower Suite. I prefer the more classic Disney design.

However, the main reason? The Royal Suites are all going to have huge wrap-around verandahs.

The outside vistas from the bathrooms are going to be amazing. Whilst the views from the Tower Suite are going to be spectacular, I do think that if I was spending that much money, I would need a balcony.

On Deck 13 the Royal Suites are 13000 and 13500.

The Royal Suites are ideally located on Deck 12 and Deck 13. You are just steps away from the Concierge Lounge and Pool.

Perhaps if you are staying in the Tower Suite there really won’t be that much of a reason to go to the Concierge Lounge. You can get pretty much everything that you need in your Suite – so why visit the Lounge?

However, you will no doubt want to spend some time on the Concierge Private Sun Deck. These has amazing views and two jacuzzis. In particular, as the Tower Suite does not have a verandah you will want to spend some time on the Sun Deck.

The location of the Tower Suite is not quite as convenient as the Royal Suites if we are talking about proximity to the Concierge facilities.

However, this really is unlikely to matter very much – you are within your own private, very luxurious, and pampered world in the Tower Suite!

You even have your own elevator! What a unique perk on a Disney Ship!

Disney Wish Tower Suite Perks

Staying at Concierge-level on a Disney Cruise Ship has many perks and advantages.

These include the service of a Concierge even before your cruise to help with reservations, priority booking, enhanced boarding, and assistance to snag one of those almost impossible to get Castaway Cay Cabanas.

As we have just mentioned, there is access to the Concierge Lounge and Deck.

However, staying in the Royal Suite on the Disney Wish brings even more special perks and advantages.

It seems that the Tower Suite guests will have their own concierge team who are dedicated just to them.

The announcement talks of “curated services and daily treats”. We don’t know what these will be yet, but perhaps they are exclusive perks such as character greetings and behind the scenes opportunities?

I am speculating at this point, but I am sure that there will be some amazing benefits to staying in the Tower Suite that haven’t yet been disclosed.

Initially they gave me a small signature room. I insisted on a bigger room and they moved me. I stayed for my wedding day and after so needed space for my hair makeup camera crew ect. Staff were very helpful with all our queries

On Our stay the person above us was making a lot of noise walking around day and night we could hear the footsteps through our ceilings this was for 2 nights and very annoying. None of the balcony double doors on the property open. I think the hotel should at least mention this on when booking a room. The television in both living room and bedroom areas were completely rubbish volume was so high and we still could barely hear anything . I think they need new to sets.

My only complaint is that we had put the hanger on our door to request a clean from 11am-4pm one day and when we returned the room hadn't been cleaned. But the next day we asked the reception for our room to be cleaned and this was done immediately.

The hotel room was perfect and exactly how the pictures looked. Very clean, spacious and comfortable. I'd been told we had a perfect view of the Tower of London but unfortunately this was completely blocked by a huge tree. Lots of choice at the breakfast and the staff were super friendly. I was initially worried as I'd read reviews about queues at breakfast, but we came at 10am on Saturday morning and were seated immediately. There were also many tables free. Italian restaurant in the hotel was really good and great value for money.

We have come here for a trip with my wife and this place gave us a great base. Superb location, very nice and professional staff, very comfortable, clean and nice rooms (pity we didnt get the Tower Bridge view!). Great breakfast and gym was also reasonably equipped.

This hotel is a gem! It's so centrally located, the room size for London is great. The interior is modern and clean, bathroom is quite spacious with all amenities replenished constantly, same goes for kitchenette - they would daily put new coffee capsules and teabags together with biscuits. We had a little problem with ac, they sent a technician who fixed the issue

The superior studio is basically a regular hotel room, somewhat larger than usual in London, but the kitchenette is disappointing - basically only a mini fridge coffee machine and kettle, which take up a third of the closet. There was a nightstand only on one side of the bed. The breakfast buffet is really not up to par with this standard of hotel in terms of choice or taste, and very expensive (20 GBP night before or 27 GBP on the day). There are a Pret a Manger and a Cafe 5 min walk away which offer much better choices at significantly lower cost.

The one bedroom apartment was spacious, had good kitchen facilities and a good washer/dryer combo. Bathrooms are very spacious. There is also a type of suite/studio that has a sitting are and a real kitchenette as well as a washer/dryer. Location is excellent - even thought it is not in the plumb center the tube station is right at the hotel, with the most relevant lines (Circle and District) for the major attractions. The concierge was very helpful.

Excellent location with stunning views. Lovely big room, immaculately clean.

Nothing really. Everything was pleasant from the check in to check out. All staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Fairly good selection of food for breakfast. Had something for all tastes, from parents to young children and teenagers in between.

Breakfast- Same menu everyday, it is really boring. Menu needs a change, variety has to be there to meet international travellers. I would suggest to include Indian, Pakistani, Srilankan and others.

Tower Suites by Blue Orchid is right next to Tube (Tower Hill), DLR (Tower Gateway), Hop-On Hop-Off stops. 10-15minutes walk from Tower Suites to some of the MUST watch attractions. Next to supermarkets, pharmacies, pubs and bars. Welcoming staff, great hospitality, 24/7 monitored with round the clock security. Quiet, spacious rooms & good house keeping service.

My 80+ yr old mom and I stayed for a week. Staff were all very welcoming and helpful. Did a great job cleaning and the breakfast and dinner room service was really reasonable. It was well-connected so easy to get around London and it was in the Financial District, which made it quiet in the evenings. My mom loves semi-firm beds so it was perfect for her. I prefer really soft beds, but I know I'm in the minority. We would stay again.

Disney Wish Stateroom 14000 Tour – Wish Tower Suite

The Disney Wish 1,966 sq. ft. Concierge Wish Tower Suite offers accommodations for up to 8 guests with it’s own grand spiral staircase, an open dining salon, pantry with wet bar stocked with water and soda. The unique concierge suite was designed with artwork, iconography and materials that evoke the Oceania-inspired world of “Moana.”

For Disney Cruise Line, stateroom 14000 is a first-of-its-kind accommodation, located high in the forward funnel above the upper decks, guests enter via a special entry accessible via a private elevator from Deck 10 and 12 to deck 14. Additionally, there is a nondescript door to a stairwell is located on deck 12, just off the upper deck.

The main living room will be flanked by an open dining area, a large pantry and a bar, all offering views across the upper decks to the horizon through an expansive two-story window wall.

Just off the main area on the port side is a library which can be converted into a bedroom with queen size wall bed.

Also on the first level, is a bedroom with built in bunk beds with illuminated Moana inspired ceiling constellations.

Located on the upper-level loft, the main bedrooms will be lavish and serene with king beds, walk-in closets and floor-to-ceiling windows looking out over the living area below to the views beyond. The main bathrooms will each have double vanities, soaking tubs and rain showers. Below is a look at the bedroom and bath on the starboard side.

Moving across the loft, is the other bedroom on the port side.

No privacy at all around this place! Cousin Orville took over the coolest stateroom on the ship, and rigged up something pretty clever, he calls it automatic blinds.

In contrast, this is the view from the starboard bedroom window.

There is no argument that this is a unique stateroom, but it does lack a private verandah and guests around the upper decks can look right into your stateroom.

Ahh so it’s like a human terrarium. Got it. No outside verandah means this is a glorified ocean view room that actually looks out onto the lido deck of the Axiom. Thanks but no thanks.

Feel bad for the people dropping $$$$$ to stay in this tower not realizing that even with their blinds closed they are on full display! They should have done one-way windows.

Lisa, you read my mind. We always get a Verandah and we get more privacy than that suite will ever get.

The more I read about the Wish, I wish it weren’t so. When we sail again, I think we’re going to avoid this ship. Sounds like they went backwards in more ways than not. We’ll stick with the Dream or Fantasy.

No balcony no ty! Dumb design of that room..no privacy! One of many design flaws on the wish!

We met our guide by the tower at 8:15 a.m. and got plenty of interesting information on its history before being led through to watch the opening ceremony (available as an upgrade). A resident, red-and-navy-clad beefeater (the tower's ceremonial guards) welcomed us with entertaining anecdotes, before the chief yeoman warder and others marched through the grounds to officially open the tower. We then had around an hour to explore; it was enough time to admire the Crown Jewels and its diamond-topped crowns, royal robes and gold chalices – as well as some of the other towers, several of which were still (happily) empty pre-10 a.m.

From Embankment Pier, we wandered through Whitehall to Horse Guards Parade, witnessing the Changing of The King's Life Guard; crowds gathered as mounted soldiers in red and gold lined the square. Why we love it:

• Getting early access to the Tower of London makes a difference – I've been to the tower twice before, but this was the best experience yet. There was no line for the Crown Jewels (waiting times can get long later in the day), and the whole area felt relatively calm and uncrowded.
• It's a flexible tour, with the option to add on the opening ceremony when you book. Though it does cost extra, I recommend it if you want to experience one of London's many traditions. Environment | court finds trump tower violated environmental laws and endangered fish in the chicago river.

“The Chicago River is one of our city’s most treasured natural resources, providing opportunities for recreation and commerce,” Attorney General Kwame Raoul said in a statement. “For years, Trump Tower failed to follow state and federal regulations that protect the health of the Chicago River and the balance of critical aquatic ecosystems therein. All entities — no matter who they are — must be held accountable when they willfully disregard our laws. I am pleased with this decision, and I am committed to continuing to vigorously enforce our environmental laws.”

Cook County Circuit Judge Thaddeus L. Wilson on Monday granted summary judgment to the plaintiffs, finding Trump International Hotel & Tower at 401 N. Wabash Ave. liable on all counts. This means there will be no trial. Raoul’s office is seeking civil penalties and injunctive relief, to be determined by the court at a future hearing, which has not yet been scheduled.

“Effectively, what was found is, there’s no question that they have done all the things that they were accused of doing,” Margaret Frisbie, executive director of Friends of the Chicago River, told the Tribune.

A lawsuit filed in 2018 by then-Attorney General Lisa Madigan alleged the cooling system intake structure at Trump Tower siphoned water from the river so powerfully that it sucked in fish and trapped them against its screens, resulting in the death of thousands of aquatic organisms. Because of the system’s capability to pull in more than 20 million gallons of water from the river per day, federal law required extensive studies of its environmental impact and of fish populations in the river. The building also pumps water back into the river that is up to 35 degrees hotter.

Advocates say the Chicago River is healthier now than it has been the past 150 years. It is home to all kinds of animals, including migratory birds , beavers and turtles , as well as 80 species of fish — up from fewer than 10 in the 1970s . The system has become a natural resource for local businesses and recreation .

“As a region, we’ve spent billions of dollars to clean up the river, and the fish are really a symbol of the future and what it can be if we invest in our environment and follow the rules,” Frisbie said. “People breaking the rules sets a poor precedent, it undoes the good that has been done, it wastes taxpayer and private industry dollars and then it also makes cynics of us all, because people then really don’t believe the rules apply to them, if prominent companies can get away with things like this.”

Former President Donald Trump has previously vowed to weaken the federal Environmental Protection Agency. In his current campaign, he hasn’t presented detailed plans for the U.S. EPA but has promised to scrap two major Biden administration regulations designed to reduce greenhouse gases from power plants and cars.

According to a New York Times report , if Trump wins in November, he would be better positioned to dismantle environmental and climate regulations with sympathetic judges and conservative allies.

A Tribune investigation in 2018 found that none of the other buildings holding cooling intake permits — nearly a dozen high-rises along the river — had similarly violated applicable rules. Most other downtown buildings, including many on the river, rely on different methods to keep cool, such as cooling towers connected to the public water system or an underground network of pipes that deliver chilled water from a handful of “ice batteries.”

Additionally, the 2018 lawsuit alleged that Trump Tower had failed to comply with the Illinois Environmental Protection Act and Illinois Pollution Control Board regulations. The Sierra Club and Friends of the Chicago River later joined as intervenors, alleging continuing violations of the Clean Water Act and creating a public nuisance.

An interim order was agreed to by all parties in 2018 requiring Trump Tower to report the average daily volume of heated water it discharged into the Chicago River every month. In September 2023, the attorney general amended the original lawsuit to include an expert witness discovery that the building had been underreporting the volume of heated water discharges for over a decade in its monthly reports.

The issues, however, date back almost two decades — to 2005, when construction of Trump Tower began without the necessary permit to authorize discharges into the river. After the attorney general’s office filed a complaint in 2012 saying Trump Tower was unlawfully releasing heated water into the river, the building was ordered to obtain a permit, pay a $46,000 fine and comply with environmental laws.

“Judge Wilson’s decision brings us close to the end of a six-year journey to bring justice to the wildlife for whom these laws were designed to protect and the people who enjoy this wildlife,” Frisbie said in a statement Wednesday. “The Trump Tower’s complete disregard for the rules carelessly killed countless creatures and degraded the value of the significant public investments over decades to bring about the healthy transformation of the river for people, fish, and other aquatic wildlife.”

The federal regulations at issue for Trump Tower were prompted by a Clean Water Act provision intended to help restore lakes and rivers by forcing polluters to significantly reduce their water withdrawals. Enforcement was spotty at best until a 2007 court order required the U.S. EPA to revise its regulations, which the agency concluded most users could meet either by installing cooling towers or reducing the velocity of water intakes.

In correspondence with the Tribune when Trump was president five years ago, the Trump Organization emailed a statement expressing disappointment with the ongoing lawsuit: “One can only conclude that this decision was motivated by politics.” Representatives couldn’t be immediately reached for comment Wednesday.

Frisbie said plaintiffs and river advocates represent the public view.

“The river belongs to everybody,” she said. “We have to take care of it, we have to treasure it and everybody has to respect the rules.”
