P!nk Summer Carnival U.S. Tour Opener: 7 Best Moments — Soaring, Swinging, Sinead O’Connor Tribute

Wednesday night's (July 26) over-the-top spectacle at Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati also featured Brandi Carlile and Grouplove.

P!nk, pink

If Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did, but backwards and in high heels, then on Wednesday night (July 27) at her U.S. Summer Carnival tour kick-off in Cincinnati, P!nk did everything Rogers did, but in higher (sparklier) heels, while adding sideways, upside down and round-and-round into the mix.

The high-flying singer brought her signature aerial rig to a sold-out, sweltering Great American Ballpark for the second show of her summer extravaganza — it kicked off in Toronto on Monday night — singing flawlessly while boomeranging 100 feet in the air during a two-hour show that mixed joy, pain, pleasure and poignancy with pure spectacle.

Fans have come to expect the former gymnast to take to the air during her concerts, and while P!nk didn’t disappoint on that level during the show that featured spirited opening sets from Grouplove and Brandi Carlile , the singer also found moments to pay loving tribute to her late dad and her musical idol Sinead O’Connor , whose death was reported just hours before showtime.

Inviting Carlile up to join her, P!nk dueted on a reverent cover of O’Connor’s signature Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit, “Nothing Compares 2 U,” with both women summoning their full emotional range to pay homage to the supremely talented, complicated singer who died at age 56 of as-yet-undisclosed causes.

The solemn moment came amid a flashy spectacular that featured neon flamingo scooters and glowing grocery carts skittering around the stage and a mega-trampoline set-up on which dancers performed daring flips and spins to accompany the title track from P!nk’s most recent album, Trustfall . There were also several sweet moments when the singer kneeled down and stopped the show to acknowledge superfans who brought her homemade gifts, which she promised to find a place for at home.

Amid the expected hits (“Get the Party Started,” “Raise Your Glass,” “What About Us,” “F–kin’ Perfect,” “Never Gonna Not Dance Again”) there were some surprise covers and just plain silly moments during a show that featured enough different pink costumes to rival the Barbie movie.

Check out our favorite seven moments from the Summer Carnival show.

Radiohead, Joni Mitchell, Sade and Pat Benatar Cameos

P!nk and Carlile slotted in crowd-pleasing covers amid the originals. Brandi busted out a rocking version of Radiohead’s “Creep” — whose refrain “what the hell am I doing here?” was appropriate given her repeated shock at the huge crowd (“this doesn’t look real”). She also slipped in a “last minute” addition of her idol Joni Mitchell’s “A Case of You” that inspired silence from the otherwise rowdy stadium. Likewise, P!nk made time for Dylan (“Make You Feel My Love”), Sade (“No Ordinary Love”) and a brief bit of Pat Benatar’s “Heartbreaker” during a ripping “Just Like Fire.”

'Nothing Compares' to a Beautiful Sinead Cover

P!nk told the crowd that when she was a little girl in Atlantic City she’d go down to the Ocean City Boardwalk and record her “demo tapes” and one of her go-tos was O’Connor’s heartbreaking 1990 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Nothing Compares 2 U.” She paid tribute to the singer whose death was announced just hours earlier via a moving duet with Carlile on the song that brought many in the audience to tears.

Getting the Party Started Right

Singers have 100 different ways they can make an entrance. But nobody does it like P!nk. As her band revved up “Get the Party Started,” fans looked around for the headliner, who was, of course, perched 50 feet above the stage inside a pair of ruby red lips framed by the tour’s title in neon lights. She then descended to the stage in a shiny pink leotard as two shirtless male dancers spun around in oversized candy ring pops. As one does.

Gifts Galore

The recent trend of tossing things on stage at (or to) singers has sometimes taken a dangerous turn . P!nk short-circuited that by bending down to accept some gifts from her diehards during the show, graciously modeling a black apron covered in rainbows and the word “love” while promising to wear it the next time she cooks. She was also touched by a pair of bulldog-bedecked socks she said she’d give to daughter Willow (after she wears them first) and a cute frog painting earmarked for son Jameson’s room.

Cannibal Squirrels, Soaring Hawks

The emotional Trustfall track “When I Get There” is dedicated to P!nk’s dad, Jim Moore, who died in 2021 . She told the Cincinnati crowd a funny story about how when the former pilot was sick he said he’d like to come back as a bird of flight. Or, maybe, a “cannibal chipmunk,” who would bite people to remind her that he’s still around. Now, whenever she sees a hawk flying high above, she said before playing “Get There,” she likes to think it’s her dad. Not for nothing, before her set began, a giant, majestic hawk floated in the air above the crowd for a few minutes.

Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang

On a night when fireworks, 50-foot-tall silver palm trees and gymnastic tumbling runs were just part of the scenery, the costumes for “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)” were like something out of a Rocky Horror Picture Show reboot. In her umpteenth costume change, P!nk strode out in a black leather jacket with oversized pink lips on each shoulder (matched with black high-tops spray-painted with “MAMA” in pink), surrounded by six dancers dressed as, yes, giant pairs of dancing pink lips.

So What? So Everything!

By now you know a P!nk show is going to feature the singer breaking free of the surly bonds of pop stardom and taking to the air, more than once. So it was expected, but no less stunning, when the singer capped Wednesday show with her now-signature flight of fancy. The jaw-dropping aerial stunt during “So What” had P!nk rubber-banding from the stage to the highest, furthest point of the baseball stadium, flipping, spinning and yo-yoing while singing as if standing still as fireworks lit up the sky just like they do when the home team Cincinnati Reds score a victory. Final score: everybody wins.

Pink‘s New Flight Path: Pop’s Bionic Woman on Her Death-Defying Stadium Tour and ‘Trustfall’ Album

In a world of hyphenates,   Pink all but dares us to come up with one to describe her place in the pop landscape, besides anything so earthbound as “singer-songwriter.” Maybe “gymnast-therapist” would do it — her appeal mixes literal feats of daring with songs of dysfunction and its hoped-for cessation. As she gets to the inevitable moment in any of her shows where she acrobatically flies over arenas in a harness while encouraging her audiences to get it together before it’s too late, it’s not always clear whether the work she’s doing should be subject to American Psychological Association or Federal Aviation Administration approval.

Popular on variety.

She is not kidding about the hip replacement; hip surgery was just one of the things that had her on the operating table during the pandemic. She is freshly scarred but undaunted, as a Pink tour without aerialism is like a Pink album without multiple uses of the word “fuck.”

“Having breaks is good for my voice. Not so good for the body,” she says after putting Habanero Mountain Guy outside to sniff the sea air. “Especially during COVID — I gained 36 pounds. All I did was make sourdough and then eat the sourdough. And then I had not just the hip surgery but double disc replacement in my neck. So now I’m the bionic woman. I’ve lost those 36 pounds, and I am stronger than I’ve ever been in my life. And I’m ready to go, and I’m ready to get the  hell  out of here. I’ve been home way too long.”

There are motivations, especially when you have Tina Turner’s manager, Roger Davies, as your own. Asked if she ever queried Davies about any secrets to Turner’s success in keeping the touring regime going as long as she did, Pink says it never occurred to her — she knows what she witnessed with her own two eyes.

“I saw Tina when she was 69 in Christian Louboutins, running around the stage, full choreography, like a crazy person. And I thought to myself:  Shit. So now I have no excuse.  I look at the greats and I wanna keep up. I want to keep pushing it and be better — a better human, a better mom, a better daughter, a better sister, a better performer, a better writer. And age works against you, right? But at 43, I’m stronger than I’ve ever been in my life. I could kick my 33-year-old ass.”

As for the specifics of moonlighting as a stuntwoman, she says, “Well, it’s always interesting the day the insurance company comes to yes or no your insurance. And every time they say yes, I’m like, ‘Are you kidding me? They actually said yes?’” She shrugs. This may be the time when she’ll need to trust that the crew that keeps her aloft really does consider her World’s Best Boss.

The real test of Pink’s nerve is that she has enlisted two of the most powerful female vocalists on the planet, Brandi Carlile and Pat Benatar , as her direct support acts for the “Summer Carnival” stadium tour (the North American part of which begins July 24 in Toronto and ends Oct. 9 in Phoenix, following a European leg in June). Pink and Carlile go back — they wrote a still-unrecorded song together 15 years ago. “The first time I heard her sing, I was in my car and it was when her voice cracks during ‘The Story,’ and I had to pull my car over,” Pink remembers. She met Benatar at October’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony, where Pink and Carlile were saluting Dolly Parton by singing “Coat of Many Colors” while Benatar and husband Neil Giraldo were getting their own honors. Pink figured, and had it confirmed, that Benatar had to be classically trained to be singing like that at 70. “I ran up to her that night and was like, ‘Can we be best friends?’”

“I feel like I’ve found three voices in 43 years,” she declares. “My first voice was opera, because I used to sing ‘Phantom of the Opera’ and ‘Les Miz’ — things like that. Then my second voice was R&B-ish, but I sounded like Alvin from Alvin and the Chipmunks. But I was also smoking, and I was steadily getting raspier and raspier, which is why Janis was an easy sell for me. I loved it, but then it started going too far. Billy Mann, my friend and songwriting partner, sat me down and said, ‘I think you’re at the point now where you have to ask yourself, “Am I a singer or a smoker?”’ Hmm. ‘Shoot. I think you’re right.’ So I quit.” This happened around 2010, when she was pregnant with her first child, Willow, now 12. “And then I found this grown-up voice that I have and got two octaves back. My voice has never been stronger. But I don’t have that rasp anymore, and I miss that — I wish I could have kept a little bit of it. But,” she adds with a shrug and a sip, “I chose life instead.”

Making the conscious choice to go on is a big theme of “Trustfall.” Not entirely ironically, it starts with a ballad about death and the afterlife, “When I Get There,” prompted somewhat by her father’s death in August 2021, as well as mortal thoughts that arose when both she and her son contracted bad cases of COVID. Starting the album off with a non-banger was as conscious a choice as everything Pink does.

“I feel like we’re all in this constant state of  overwhelm , and so we put our feelings away just so that we can get through a day. I wanted to find a way back to the truth and the authentic feelings. So opening the album with that, instead of like, ‘Hey, let’s ease into each other,’ it’s like, ‘No, no. Sit down. I want to talk to you. We’re gonna clear all the bullshit away and have a  conversation .’ That’s how I am as a person. If you ask me how I am, how much time do you have? So ‘When I Get There’ as an album-opener was my way of saying, ‘Let’s talk about real stuff.’””

It’s easy to get the sense that for many fans, it’s “ me and Pink against the world”  — whether that has to do with her support of the LGBTQ community or advocacy for older women or disaffected-youth friendliness. “A lot of my friends have teenagers — I do not yet, thank God — and they all have just debilitating anxiety.” She describes playing the new song “Turbulence,” which describes life in terms of an extended panic attack, for her daughter’s friends, “and, like, five of them were just sobbing.” The findings showing that more young people than ever describe themselves as dealing with crippling depression or anxiety disturbs her — “I don’t know where we’re going with this” — even if it’s not surprising to a woman who’s included the word “trauma” in album titles and written existentially brooding anthems like “What About Us.”

She leans forward to deliver all of us existentially challenged grown-ups a pep talk, like she did with her daughter’s friends that day she played them “Turbulence.” “Just let it go, man,” Pink advises. “Just be a dolphin and let that go right off your back. We have to have joy too. We have to laugh. We have to love. We have to cuddle. We have to suck the marrow out of the bones of life, because we’re still here. The wildfires haven’t come yet.” Spoken like a true Santa Barbara-area resident, invoking the joy of sea mammals and the prospect of everything going up in flames all in the same breath.

Pink may be known for her feats of derring-do, but there’s no fearlessness like withstanding the slings and arrows of being a reasonably outspoken public figure. Twenty-three years into a career, does she have the satisfaction of thinking that, by now, people get her?

“I definitely don’t think a large far-right contingent gets me at all. and they don’t want to and they’re never going to, because I represent so many things that they hate. And I think people that only listen to the singles don’t get me, because there’s so much else. When I meet people, they’re like, ‘God, you’re not scary.’ And I’m like, ‘Well, don’t tell anyone. That’s my cover, man.’ But I’ve kind of stopped caring a little bit. I’m sad about people thinking that being an opinionated woman is a bad thing. I’m sad. That deeply saddens me. But I’ve stopped trying to explain it.” It’s not something she’s only ever experienced from afar. “I think it sticks with me because my husband told me, when we met, ‘he was like, “’I thought you were just like this angry man-eater.’ And I was like, ‘I am . But, I’m also this.'” Carey Hart got over it; not everyone did. “The things people say to me online, it’s insane,” she says.

The most personal song on the new record may be the harrowing ballad “Lost Cause,” sung from the point of view of a woman who just wants to be told she isn’t a piece of shit. Written by Stephen Wrabel, Sam de Jong and Sam Romans, it resonated with Pink because of a conversation she had with Hart. “He came to me a long time ago — at a good moment, when we  weren’t  arguing — and said, ‘Hey, when we argue and you say really mean things, it hurts me and I really need you to stop.’ I was blown away, like, ‘Whoa, what a beautiful thing to do, Carey, to bring that up at a time where everything’s going well.’ Time moves on and you both get mean after a while, and the world is mean,” she avows, attesting that charity needs to begin at home.

“And,” she adds, further explicating the theme of “Lost Cause,” “I’m like, ‘You can call me a loser, but just don’t tell me I’m unredeemable.’ Everybody  is redeemable. Unless they’re gone — unless they’re in the dirt. I don’t believe old dogs can’t learn new tricks.”

Review & setlist: Pink brings her Summer Carnival to Gillette Stadium

More concert reviews, review & setlist: niall horan brings ‘the show’ to the xfinity center, review & setlist: blink-182 refuse to act their age at fenway park.

Pink at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Wednesday, Aug. 21

Last year, Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Pink launched her “Summer Carnival” tour on June 7, 2023 — and it’s still going on. On Aug. 21 the artist brought her show to Gillette Stadium, a venue almost twice the size of Fenway Park, where she played two shows last summer .

The tour’s been racking up critical acclaim, and right now stands as the fifth highest-grossing tour by a woman of all time — it’s beat out only by Pink’s own “Beautiful Trauma” tour, along with tours by Madonna, Beyonce, and Taylor Swift.

Born Alecia Beth Moore, the singer brought the acrobatics and aerial stunts for which she’s known to her one-night-only show at Gillette in a performance that closely resembled 2023’s shows, which sold more than three million tickets worldwide across dates in North America, Europe, and Australia and supported her eighth studio album, 2023’s “Trustfall.” But this time, she had new openers.

OK, not completely new — DJ and producer KidCutUp joined again, pumping up the crowd before each set. Irish rock band The Script was the first opener, and singer/songwriter Sheryl Crow came on second, playing a set that was more rock and less pop than the flashiness to come. She did all her ‘90s and 2000s hits like “If It Makes You Happy,” “All I Wanna Do,” “Real Gone,” “Soak Up The Sun,” and “Everyday Is A Winding Road,” switching between bass and acoustic guitar and sporting sparkly pants and a sleek early ‘00s-esque bob.

Pink opened her set in true-to-herself fashion, flying down from the top of the stage in a harness for “Get The Party Started.” This number had everything — a sparkly bodysuit, a popstar microphone headset, backup dancers, and upside down singing, which is probably much harder than she makes it look.

She continued into a setlist that started off the same as last year’s. “Raise Your Glass” saw dancers playing with beach-themed paraphernalia and riding on scooters that looked like pool flamingos, and then she went into “Who Knew” and “Just Like A Pill.” “What About Us” was next, bringing out the firework displays early on. Pink had eight dancers and three backup singers, lending the show its carnival-ish, party atmosphere. Her sparkly costumes and huge stage props (like a fallen disco ball and an ice cream cone with spiked studs) helped, too.

“Turbulence” included choreography with aerial silks, which climaxed in Pink suspended by her ankles upside down above the audience — and still singing. She moved into a crowd work portion of the set here, showing off the down-the-earth personality for which she’s known and even passing candy out to the crowd. She sat down at the piano for a cover of Adele’s cover of Bob Dylan’s “Make You Feel My Love.” “It’s a love song,” she said into the microphone, “so you know I didn’t write it.”

The 43-year-old singer went into “Just Give Me A Reason,” a duet she originally did with Fun.’s Nate Ruess, “F**kin’ Perfect,” and “Just Like Fire,” which she mashed up with “Heartbreaker.” While Pat Benatar isn’t touring with this year’s “Summer Carnival” (that was last year), they left in her hit anyway.

Pink costume-changed before “Please Don’t Leave Me” and opened the song with a beautiful a cappella bit with her singers, and brought out her 13-year-old daughter, Willow, for “Cover Me In Sunshine,” to much audience tenderness. “When I Get There” is “probably the saddest song I’ve ever written,” she said, explaining that it’s for “all of y’all who miss your people.”

She brought the energy back up as the set entered its home stretch with “I Am Here” and “What’s Up,” a 4 Non Blondes cover. The dancers and the acrobatics came back out for “Stay,” which Pink sang suspended in a cage, and “Trustfall,” which featured trampolines. During “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)” dancers came out as giant hot pink lips, and “Never Gonna Not Dance Again” cranked the party atmosphere all the way up.

“So What” was the closer, and just like in last year’s set, she harnessed up and flew around the stadium, getting close to almost everyone in the audience — even those in the nosebleeds.

After the show, the audience buzzed with energy as they made their way to the exits — and I don’t need to tell you what color everyone was wearing.

Setlist for Pink, Gillette Stadium, Aug. 21:

Pink Announces Summer 2023 Stadium Tour with Brandi Carlile, Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo and More

Alt-rock band Grouplove and DJ KidCutUp will also join Pink for the 21-date Summer Carnival 2023 tour

Pink will be flying around stadiums this summer on her biggest United States tour to date!

Fresh off the release of her new single "Never Gonna Not Dance Again," the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, 43, announced on Monday that she'll be embarking on a North American stadium tour next summer alongside opening acts Brandi Carlile , Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo, Grouplove and DJ KidCutUp.

The 21-date trek, titled the Summer Carnival 2023 tour, will kick off with a July 24th concert at Rogers Centre in Toronto and hit venues in Boston, New York City, Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and Las Vegas before wrapping up at Chase Field in Phoenix on Oct. 9.

Tickets go on presale for Citi cardmembers from Nov. 15 at 10 a.m. local time through Nov. 20 at 11 p.m. local time. Another presale for members of the Verizon Up loyalty program will go on sale for select shows from Nov. 17 at noon local time through Nov. 20 at 11 p.m. local time. General on-sale tickets then become available Nov. 21 at 10 a.m. local time via Live Nation. More information can be found on Pink's Live Nation page .

Grouplove and DJ KidCutUp will perform as opening acts on all 21 dates, while Carlile as well as Benatar and Giraldo will each appear at select shows.

Ahead of the tour's announcement, both Pink and Carlile, 41, performed a tribute to Dolly Parton at the 2022 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony last week. On Sunday, they teased the stadium tour on social media with a hilarious video filmed backstage at the event.

"Sorry, I'm not trying to ignore you. I just have to make a really important phone call," said Pink in the clip while seated alongside Carlile — before calling the "Right on Time" singer on the phone.

Both musicians greeted each other on the playfully tongue-in-cheek phone call before Pink expressed feeling "really afraid" to ask Carlile a question. "Oh, I'm married," replied Carlile with a laugh, referencing her wife of a decade, Catherine Shepherd.

"Yeah, I do love your wife," giggled Pink, "But will you go on tour with me?"

"F--- yeah!" exclaimed Carlile. "Are we doing this?"

"Yeah!" replied Pink, before the performers shared a high five and ended the pseudo call.

Last week, Pink released her latest single "Never Gonna Not Dance Again" alongside a music video. She'll give the track its live TV debut performance at the 2022 American Music Awards on Nov. 20, where she'll also perform a tribute to the late Olivia Newton-John.

Pink’s Daughter Willow, 12, Performs With Her Mom On Opening Night of Summer Tour 2023

Pink's husband, Carey Hart, shared a video of the special moment that his wife and daughter got to sing together at a massive stadium in England.

Pink

Pink , 43, was joined by a special and talented guest to kick off her Summer Carnival 2023 tour on Wednesday, June 7. The Grammy Award winner’s daughter  Willow , 12, came on stage at the University of Bolton Stadium in England and the duo performed their 2021 song “Cover Me In Sunshine” together. The beautiful performance was shared on social media by many, including Pink’s husband  Carey Hart , 47, who was not at the concert. In Carey’s video , the camera panned to all the fans in the audience watching in awe as Willow sang into the mic on stage. After performance, Willow waved to the crowd and got a big hug and kiss from her proud mom .

Carey, who also shares son Jameson Moon , 6, with Pink, who he married in 2006, praised Willow’s performance in his Instagram caption. “So proud of Willz to get up on stage w/ mama @pink !!!!!” the pro biker wrote. “Must be a surreal moment for mama to have w/ her lil girl on stage. Looks like 1st show of the tour kicked a**!!!!!” he added. “Can’t wait to catch up end of this month and see for myself. Summer is grind time.”

In the comments section, Pink’s fans applauded Willow for singing on stage next to her mom. “I was there and it was awesome. Mama Pink was emotional,” one fan said. Another wrote, “Wow so freaking awesome.” A third fan said that Willow was “magical” in her performance with Pink. Pink is on her summer tour until March 2024. She has shows across Europe, North America, New Zealand, and Australia.

Pink

Pink’s daughter has followed in her mom’s footsteps as a singer. Before Willow featured on “Cover Me In Sunshine” in 2021, Pink showed off her daughter’s singing abilities with cute videos on TikTok . The mother-daughter duo also teamed up in 2020 for The Disney Holiday Singalong where they performed a duet of the classic “The Christmas Song.” Willow has even adopted Pink’s performing talent, like when she joined Pink on stage at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards for an impressive aerial routine, which is one of the pop icon’s signature moves during her concerts.

Pink and Willow aren’t the only famous mother-daughter pair performing on tour right now. Beyonce has been joined by her 11-year-old Blue Ivy Carter   for several shows on her Renaissance  World Tour. Bey and Blue even wore matching outfits for their shows in Paris and London .

Pink performed at the DNC Thursday night. She will perform in Indianapolis in October.

Portrait of Katie Wiseman

Pink performed the song "What About Us" with her daughter at the Democratic National Convention just minutes before Kamala Harris accepted the Democratic Presidential Nomination.

It won't be long before fans can catch her in Indianapolis. Here's a look at her performance and when she's heading your way.

'What About Us' by Pink

The song Pink sang on stage at the DNC, " What About Us ," is a song she released on her seventh studio album, "Beautiful Trauma" in 2017.

After the music video dropped for the song, it was clear it was a politically-inspired song to represent those who felt voiceless in America.

Scottie Scheffler throws a most un-Scottie-like tantrum while struggling at BMW

2168110874

Scottie Scheffler on the 15th green in the second round.

It’s been a long season. Scottie Scheffler has played in 17 PGA Tour events and finished an astounding 16 times among the top 10. The World No. 1 has his six wins in 2024, and every shot of every round seems like it could be the difference in whether he lifts a trophy. Scheffler also entered the FedEx Cup Playoffs with a huge lead that he’s hoping to protect.

MORE: BMW leader Adam Scott went down rabbit hole in trying to fix iron play

That’s got to get to anybody, including the player who’s most often described as a character who cannot be rattled. And for Scheffler, the breaking point appeared out there for all to see in the second round of the BMW Championship at Castle Pines in Colorado.

Though a “bad” round in which Scheffler struggled in every facet led to a not-so-terrible 72 that put him at T-29, the Texan showed more frustration than he has at any point this season. He gestured angrily on some holes and produced what seemed to be a sarcastic salute after putting out for bogey.

But his biggest tantrum came at the par-4 10th, and guaranteed, you’ve never seen Scottie quite this hot. For context, he’d driven into the right rough and then badly mishit his approach and watched it go into the water. From the drop zone, hit approach landed just past the flagstick, but kicked hard over the green. He eventually made a double bogey.

His reaction? The equivalent of a big-league baseball skipper flipping the food spread in the clubhouse:

Yes, that was indeed Scottie capping his tirade with a “What the f—k.” And, sorry, but when he starts asking “how?” and the volume rises to your dad scolding you for getting a speeding ticket, it’s just plain funny. "HOW/! HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?!"

The guys in the NBC Sports booth seemed surprised and bemused, and later, on-course commentator Jim “Bones” Mackay noted on the 18th hole when Scheffler hit into a fairway bunker, “I have never seen Scottie struggle on the greens like I have today. Really struggling with reading the greens correctly.

“He’s been very demonstrative out here, and a little sarcastic at times,” Mackay added. “And I get it. It’s been a long year. He’s played exceptionally well, and he’s probably a little. run down. But he’s got to find some energy; he’s got a lot of golf to play and some important things to play for in the next couple of weeks.”

Of note, the round of 72 was Scheffler’s second-worst of the year, behind the 73 he scored in the second round of the PGA Championship. We know what happened there: He suffered a huge letdown on the day after he was arrested outside Valhalla Golf Club and came back later in the day to open with a 67.

As a golf equivalent, Friday’s round at Castle Pines was like serving jail time.

Pink fans left with ‘chills’ after daughter willow’s ‘beautiful’ dnc 2024 performance.

Pink’s daughter, Willow Sage Hart, is receiving major raise for her “unbelievable” performance at the 2024 Democratic National Convention .

The 13-year-old took the stage with her famous mom at the United Center in Chicago on Thursday to perform a special rendition of Pink’s hit song “What About Us.”

The duet kicked off just moments before Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris gave a speech at the final night of the convention .

Pink, 44, and her mini-me teenager both wore all-black outfits for the event and were joined on stage by a guitarist and three other female backup singers.

At one point, Willow performed a few of the lyrics solo while Pink watched in awe – gently placing her hand on her daughter’s back as the crowd roared with applause.

Video footage from the cute performance quickly went viral on social media with fans cheering Willow on for her “beautiful” voice.

“They were amazing!! Loved it and wow can her daughter sing. What a great Mom she is to Willow, showing her the importance of this moment.!” one person wrote via X .

“@Pink Wonderful performance! Blown away by Willow’s talent! Thank you! #DNC2024,” another user wrote .

While Willow’s vocal skills may have come as a shock to some viewers, the aspiring singer has been performing in front of audiences for years.

The teenager previously accompanied her pop star mom on stage to sing their song, “Cover Me In Sunshine,” during Pink’s Summer Carnival Tour last year. The duet – which features Willow singing along with Pink on the track – was originally released in 2021.

However, by June 2023, Pink announced that Willow’s time on the tour had come to an end, as she was pausing to focus on pursuing her musical theater career.

The “Just Give Me a Reason” singer shared an emotional video of her having a conversation with Willow where the latter confirmed she wanted to prioritize “theatre professionally.”

Willow told her mom at the time that she hopes to be a “kid on Broadway” before eventually becoming “an adult on Broadway after that.”

“This weekend’s shows were Willow’s last few on tour before she takes time away to follow her dreams. I promised I wouldn’t cry,” Pink joked in the caption of her sweet video. “I DID NOT however, promise I wouldn’t hyperventilate through our hug. It’s wild to watch your children grow up and out of you, but I’m beyond proud. We all are. I’m gonna miss you so much. ❤️❤️❤️.”
