r/travel on Reddit: One week in Portugal/One week in Morocco trip
Hi Reddit! Traveling to Portugal/Morocco late May early June for 14 days, and would ideally like to spend a week in each country. I understand this is limited, but wanted to optimize the trip and catch the best of both countries in that period (and if it's not possible then decide between one country).
2 weeks: JUST Portugal, or Portugal AND Morocco? : r/travel
I live in Portugal and I can say that you definitely can find things to do for 2 weeks here; however you can cover the most important points in these cities you mentioned in 1 week and than go to Morocco. In Algarve I would recommend more than just Faro. Ponta da Piedade, Praia do Camilo e Praia D. Ana are really nice beaches to visit.
Portugal / Spain / Morocco trip planning. : r/travel
Lisbon maybe 3 nights. Then the other week and a half between Barcelona, Madrid, Seville. If you are going less than 3 weeks maybe just do Morocco for a week and then the second week split between Lisbon and one Spanish city. For Seville, 2 nights is ok but Barcelona, Madrid, Lisbon you will want 3 minimum. 0.

So You Want to Come to Morocco? : r/travel
You will be offered copious amounts of tea, and it's all delicious! I am sick and tired of every time that Morocco comes up in r/travel, people who had experiences generalize widely, saying "don't come to Morocco if you are a woman." Harassment exists. Moroccans admit it and suffer the consequences (youtube).

does anyone have feedback?
In one day alone, between Portugal and Madrid, we clocked up 700km on the coach, stopping every two hours or so for sightseeing or comfort breaks. We travelled 2000km around Morrocco. More time to relax and experience quality down time would have been welcomed. The trip has mostly been a blur and a test of endurance.
Is Portugal worth the time vs. Morocco?
Yes, we have enjoyed Porto but keep in mind that you will invest 3 hours each way in precious vacation time to go there (train or driving). Porto is a charming city with river cruises and the port wine houses across the river in Vila Nova de Gaia. You can day trip to Guimaraes for example.
