While it is possible to explore Morocco in 7 days and visit some of its highlights, the diverse attractions and vast geography of the country make it impossible to explore everything thoroughly in such a short period of time. Morocco has bustling cities, majestic deserts, stunning coastlines and picturesque mountain ranges, each with its own unique charm.

If you only have one week to spare, focus on one region, such as Marrakech and its surroundings, to maximise your time. For a more complete experience, you can opt for a 10-day itinerary that allows you to explore Morocco's diverse landscapes and communities in greater depth.

For a 7-day Morocco itinerary, we recommend visiting Marrakesh, Fes, Merzouga, and Chefchaouen. These destinations offer a diverse range of experiences, from exploring bustling medinas to camel trekking in the desert.

The budget for a 7-day trip to Morocco varies depending on your travel style and preferences. However, on average, you can expect to spend around $500-$700 per person, excluding flights.

The best way to travel around Morocco in 7 days is by hiring a private driver or joining a guided tour. This allows you to cover more ground and experience the country’s diverse landscapes and cultures.

Some recommended activities for a 7-day Morocco itinerary include visiting the Bahia Palace and Jardin Majorelle in Marrakesh, exploring the ancient medina of Fes, camel trekking in the Sahara desert, and hiking in the Atlas Mountains.

Some unique experiences to include in a 7-day Morocco itinerary include visiting a local hammam, attending a traditional Berber wedding, taking a cooking class to learn how to make tagine, and shopping for souvenirs in the vibrant souks.

Jewish History  – there is so much Jewish history in Morocco.  Did you know that Jews began immigrating to the region nearly 2000 years ago?  Because of that, there are fascinating synagogues and history all over the country.  From a synagogue in Casablanca that operates today to a small one in Fes that dates back to the 17 century with a subterranean mikveh and a blue and white mosaic-covered synagogue in Marrakech, they are all so different and wonderful.  We visit a cemetery which looks unlike any cemetery I’ve ever seen before.  And throughout the trip, we learn about how Jews have operated in Moroccan society and government through to the modern day.  Wherever we travel in the world, visiting the local synagogues and communities are always some of our most memorable visits.
