FIRST LOOK: 100th Anniversary Travel Tumbler and Popcorn Bucket

If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog you’ll know that Greg and Elyssa are currently at Disneyland Resort f or the start of Disneyland Resort’s 100th Anniversary Celebrate.  They’re taking some time this evening to sample the eats and treats and pick up some souvenirs like the Disney 100 Travel Tumbler and Popcorn Bucket. 

As you can see from the sign above, the Disney 100 Travel Tumbler w/lanyard retails for $13.49. 

The price includes your choice of fountain beverage, coffee or hot chocolate.

As you can see, the travel mugs are a beautiful purple/blue hue.  

Mickey and Minnie are pictured on the front in their 100th Anniversary outfits. 

You’ll also notice some other Disney friends on the tumbler like Chip and Dale, Goofy and Daisy looking very glam.  

Best of all, this souvenir tumbler comes with an awesome lanyard.  It features Mickey and Minnie in a retro almost Art Deco style!

You can pick up this adorable Disney 100th Anniversary Popcorn Bucket. 

It features the same gorgeous platinum and purple colorway.  

Again, you’ll notice similar Art Deco-style artwork with your favorite Disney friends wearing their glamorous best! 

The popcorn bucket comes with a purple carry handle. 

It also comes with a platinum metallic lid. 

Our popcorn was served up in a separate paper container. 

However, it too has a bit of a 100th Anniversary rebrand. 

The paper container matches with its purple and white colorway. 

You’ll also notice that it’s branded with the Disney 100 Years of Wonder.

The “ Disney 100 Celebration ” kicks off this week on Friday, January 27, 2023, and a big part of the celebration is all the culinary creations that are sure to delight Disney foodies.

From the parks to the hotels to Downtown Disney District, Guests can enjoy both sweet and savory treats, along with a bunch of “Disney 100” novelty products like tumblers, glow cubes, and more.

There’s no better way to join this year’s Disney100 celebration than with these brand-new, limited-time food, drink, and novelty item offerings (and yes, there are a few new standout popcorn buckets!)

There’s so much in store for the Disney100 Celebration throughout 2023 – and no party would be complete without some seriously delicious food and drinks! And because the milestone of 100 years is such a big one, Disney is going all out when it comes to delicious dishes, can’t-miss sips, and fun novelty merch in honor of the occasion. We’ve got a look at all of the incredible treats you’ll be able to find at Disneyland Resort during the Disney100 event .

• Our Creative Director, Danny, says this is his top pick for anyone who enjoys a chocolatey treat. It’s buttery and rich with the caramel and salt providing a nice contrast to the cocoa notes from the chocolate filling. He was a big fan of the shortbread crust texture too!

This year marks 100 years of The Walt Disney Company – yes, you heard that right – 100 years! To celebrate this momentous occasion,  Disneyland Resort  is serving up delicious dishes, sips, and novelties for you to bask in the fun!

Disney100 at Disneyland: New Entertainment, Food, Details

Disneyland is the official home of the Disneyland Disney100 anniversary of The Walt Disney Company! From limited edition merchandise to mesmerizing shows and Mickey-themed treats, let’s break down Disneyland's special events, food, shows, and more honoring Disney’s extraordinary 100 year legacy.

The two new nighttime spectaculars, “Wondrous Journeys,” a fireworks show inspired by Disney's century of storytelling, and “World of Color – One,” a water show featuring favorite movies in celebration of Disney's anniversary, debuted earlier this year. The “Magic Happens” parade also returned on February 24! Keep reading for more details on these shows.

Disneyland's MagicBand+ will interact with both the new “Wondrous Journeys” and “World of Color – One” shows (as well as select decorations throughout the parks later this year).

Disneyland's Disney100 celebration began on January 27, 2023, and will likely wrap up in mid 2024, leaving plenty of time for guests to enjoy the festivities. Be sure to plan a visit during this special year!

“Magic Happens” Parade

The Magic Happens Parade has finally returned! After a three year hiatus due to the pandemic, it is back in action now, highlighting beloved characters such as Moana, Miguel, Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff and Sven, along with several talented performers.

The Disney100 parade also features a contemporary musical score by Todrick Hall that presents a fun spin on Disney hits. Guests will experience an exciting grand finale that honors Disney's century of magic with moments from Disney classics!

Disney100 “World of Color – One”

This World of Color show, designed for the Disney100 celebration, revolves around the idea of how just a ripple can cause a wave—one that can fuel a world of change. The show takes us back through the most moving Disney moments over the last century, presenting us with stories that inspire us to grow and be our best selves.

In “World of Color–One,” projections illuminate up the water, featuring moments from some of Disney's most powerful films and shows: Star Wars , Moana , T he Lion King , Avengers: Endgame , Encanto , and more. The magic is created by projections, fog effects, “dancing” fountains, and more! Disneyland's MagicBand+ will also come alive during the performance with haptic vibrations that synchronize with the action of the spectacular.

Classic and modern Disney characters make appearances, and moving scores powerfully underscore each scene. The score features 18 different musical compositions, including an original song, “Start a Wave,” composed by Cody Fry and with lead vocals by Loren Allred.

“World of Color–One,” is particularly special, as it is the first Disneyland spectacular to feature Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, the Avengers, and Star Wars all in the same show!

“Wondrous Journeys”

“Wondrous Journeys” is the fireworks and projections show that celebrates Disney’s 100 years and brings the Sleeping Beauty Castle, Main Street, and night sky alive with bursts of color! Projections are tailored to each viewing area at the park (Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle, Rivers of America and the façade of “it’s a small world”), creating a unique experience per setting. The show includes references to all 62 Walt Disney Animation Studios films, featuring characters such as Bambi, Hercules, Mirabel, and more. It also features a flyby from Baymax from “Big Hero Six” and the Blue Fairy from “Pinocchio” over the castle!

The fireworks show includes an original song, “It’s Wondrous,” composed by Duddy Brown and Alex Geringas, and the recorded musical score was brought to life by an 80-piece orchestra, 16 vocalists, and a 33-voice choir. The MagicBand+ will put on its own colorful performance, lighting up and pulsing in synchronicity with the show above.

Disney Gallery: Disney100 Years of Wonder

In honor of the Disney100 Celebration, the Disney Gallery on Disneyland's Mainstreet is featuring a special exhibit—the biggest that has ever appeared at the gallery!

Disney 100 Years of Wonder explores the early days of Disney, showcases how Imagineers turn 2D concepts into 3D, and explores how Disney attractions have inspired films and vice versa. Here, you can explore models, concept artwork from attractions at the parks, and more, following their journey in turning from an idea to a reality.

Disney 100 Years of Wonder shows us that stories can transcend form and grow in ways that touch the lives of countless people.

New Disney100 Esplanade Background Music Loop

As you walk between Disneyland and Disney California adventure, you'll hear new music playing in celebration of Disney100! The playlist features a mix of Disney's 50th Anniversary tracks, Epcot music, and Disneyland classics.

Keep an ear out for Epcot's Test Track theme, the “Fantasmic!” finale, “Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow” from the Carousel of Progress, Disney California Adventure's “California Screamin,” and “Soarin' Over California,” “Nothing Can Stop Us Now” from Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway, and more! Disney100 Travel Tumbler with Lanyard Arrives at Disneyland Resort

A new Disney100 travel tumbler with a lanyard has debuted at Disneyland Resort. We first found it at Jolly Holiday Bakery Café in Disneyland Park, but it’s available at most dining venues across both parks.

Disney100 Travel Tumbler – $13.49

The travel tumbler comes with a lanyard and includes a fountain beverage, coffee, hot tea or hot cocoa at the time of purchase. There will be an additional charge for specialty coffees.

The tumbler is purple with the Disney100 logo on one side.

Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto, Tinker Bell, Chip, and Dale are all pictured in their sparkling platinum outfits.

Tinkerbell is hovering over the castle at the top of the tumbler.

The lid is silver with a purple Mickey head to cover the spout.

The lanyard slides on and off easily using the plastic purple ring.

The lanyard is purple with Mickey and Minnie heads framed in the deco-styled art.
