Jungkook's "Seven" Video Is Like a Rom-Com Where He Woos Han So-Hee 7 Days a Week
This is not a drill, BTS fans! The group's youngest member, Jungkook, has officially launched his solo era. While the maknae has released numerous singles as gifts to fans through the years (like his love letter to ARMY, "Still With You") and collaborations like "Left and Right" with Charlie Puth and his World Cup anthem, "Dreamers, " with Fahad Al Kubaisi, the July 14 release of "Seven" marks the start of his career as a bonafide solo artist.
Fans have been waiting for this single since July 6, when Big Hit Music started rolling out Jungkook's promotional content for "Seven," including a short film and concept photos featuring the star showing off his physique in various outfits (one — loose-fitting jeans paired with an oversized blazer — even gives a peek at his abs). On July 7, it was also revealed that Jungkook's first performance of "Seven" is already planned.
The K-pop singer has since opened up about how the process of releasing his solo single has impacted him. "This is first in the official schedule for my solo music . . . I think I gained some confidence in believing that I can do this," Jungkook shared on July 10 in a special behind-the-scenes featurette of his recording sessions for "Seven". "A song that can receive recognition. I hope people listen to the song with ease."
It's always easy to listen to Jungkook, but there's also tons of excitement around the video, especially with the anticipated appearance of a certain South Korean actor. From the official teaser that dropped on July 12 "Nevertheless" and "My Name" actor Han So-Hee will appear in the visual. The clip featured the BTS member and Han arguing at a fancy dinner before a chandelier crashes beside them.
Ahead, learn everything there is to know about Jungkook's debut solo single, "Seven," so far — including the lyrics, meaning, and when he'll be performing it live.
Jungkook's "Seven" Music Video
Jungkook tries his hand at comedic acting (and succeeds) in his "Seven" music video as he pursues his love interest (played by Han) through explosions, floods, torrential downpours, and even fakes his own death to get her attention. Check out the video below!
Jungkook's "Seven" Lyrics
Weight of the world on your shoulders I kiss your waist and ease your mind I must be favored to know ya I take my hands and trace your lines

I'd be in if he would come in my country, but I doubt a world tour can happen since he hasn't enlisted yet. Right now he must have restrictions as far as travelling is concerned. He can travel for sure, but a world tour seems very unrealistic. Let's be patient and hope it happens after his military service.

BTS member Jung Kook announced the release date for debut full-length solo album on Tuesday (Oct. 3), revealing that Golden will drop on Nov. 3. The 11-track album will feature the singer/dancer’s Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit single with Latto, “Seven,” as well as his new song with Jack Harlow, “3D.”
A Complete List of BTS’ Solo Projects (So Far)
The solo LP follows a string of previous solo singles from Jung Kook, including “Euphoria,” “My Time,” “Still With You” and “My You,” as well as collab singles with Lauv (“Who”) and Charlie Puth on the latter’s 2022 single “Left and Right.”
The Harlow song is on track to debut at No. 2 on the UK singles chart this week, marking the week’s highest debut. Jung Kook made U.K. chart history earlier this year with “Seven,” when the track landed at No. 3 on the Official U.K. Singles Chart (July 21), for the highest-charting debut by a solo Korean act.
The 26-year-old singer is stepping out on his own in the midst of BTS’ pause to allow its members to report for South Korea’s mandatory military service. To date, Suga, Jin and J-Hope have all enlisted, with Suga reporting for duty on Sept. 22 and telling fans to hang tight for the group’s planned 2025 return.

Jungkook — who is known as "Golden Maknae" aka "Golden Youngest" of BTS — is aiming to highlight his trajectory from a band member on BTS to a solo star on his debut album. It also features collaborations with stars like Jack Harlow, Latto and DJ Snake, while producers on the album include Ed Sheeran and Shawn Mendes .
A press release also states that "through the order of the tracks, Jungkook expresses the flow of emotions that follow the changes in relationships. The first half of the album introduces songs with light-hearted melodies portraying someone falling in love, whereas the latter half lays out songs that feel heavier, dealing with emotions following a breakup."
In July, the singer made his solo debut on Good Morning America ' s Summer Concert Series.
Before the skies opened up over New York City, forcing an early end to the show, the youngest member BTS performed three songs in front of an audience of devoted fans — many of whom lined up overnight or even camped out for a chance to see the singer in Central Park.
Jungkook performed his single "Seven," his first official solo release; as well as "Euphoria," a fan-favorite Jungkook track off the group's 2018's album Love Yourself: Answer; and BTS's 2020 smash hit "Dynamite."
In an interview with GMA’s Juju Chang that was moved indoors to the show's Times Square studio, Jungkook shared that his fellow BTS members — RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin and V — had heard his new music and gave it a glowing review. "They loved it," he said. The members have already been sharing messages of support for the single on their Instagram accounts.
The group announced last June that they would be pursuing solo projects while continuing some group activities as the members fulfill South Korea's mandatory military service. Jin , j-hop e and SUGA are currently enlisted.
