Departure Information

Sydney Harbour Tall Ships’ cruises usually depart from Campbell’s Cove Floating Pontoon at Circular Quay. On some dates, due to large cruise liners using the International Terminal, we normally alter our departure location to Ives Steps wharf or another location.

Cancellations:

Tickets/Vouchers are non-refundable, but are transferable to another person for the same scheduled sail date and time. Please contact the booking office on 02 8015 5571 to advise the name of the substituted passenger.

Bookings cannot be changed within 7 days prior to the original sail date. Our ticket office must be contacted on 02 8015 5571 for all ticket changes. Please note that a rebooking fee will be charged.

The ship will sail in wet weather and tickets will not be refunded due to rain. Bring wet weather gear if rain is expected – it’s all part of the adventure.

A thoroughly enjoyable jaunt, and so quintessentially ‘Sydney’.Much more relaxed and easy going than expected, with great laughs and plenty of history with host Howard and Captain (?) Andy.A really great way to see all the sights of Sydney Harbour, including some very interesting buildings complete with informative commentary. We loved the friendly, nostalgic atmosphere on the ship.The mast climb was a highlight of our Sydney trip.

Awesome Sunset Cruise

What a great afternoon/evening. Keegan (the M.C.) was great as were the rest of the crew. Really friendly & helpful AND the “deck girls” – fearless. (climbing up the rigging & setting the sails) Sydney harbour was as always – magnificent. Food was great as were the people we met on board. The mast climb is an ABSOLUTE MUST and the views of Sydney Harbour from the Crows Nest are out of this world. Hardest part is getting the world to hold still whilst you try to take pictures up the mast. !!! Summary…. MUST DO.

Mast Climb Was Amazing!

Coming from Sydney I was not sure I would enjoy. How wrong can you be! It was great, Sydney turned on a gorgeous day and I would highly recommend the mast climb, it was a little hard work for us over 50’s but I got there in the finish.

A Must-do Experience

I have lived in Sydney all my life, but to see the city skyline at sunset & lit up at night from out in the harbour towards Watsons Bay was a new experience. It was fantastic, must-do experience!

Tall Ship Experience, Lunch Cruise

Vintage sailing on Sydney Harbour is quite indescribable. Not to be missed (or forgotten)! A great ship, great crew and great food made for an absolutely splendid sailing adventure.

I have lived in Sydney for over 36 years have never seen the harbour quite like this before. This is a magical experience whilst taking a step back in time. The crew were so friendly, the food was great and the view spectacular. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend an afternoon!

The best way to see Sydney is from the Harbour. The boat and the sails were extra special; we even had the opportunity to climb up the Mast to get an extra special view of Sydney. A step back in time on the most spectacular harbour. Incredible Sydney Harbour views with a very friendly crew. What a great experience on a well-cared for and much loved tall ship. Watching the sails rise was a highlight and it was lovely to be able to simply explore the ship at leisure.

I admire these people for wanting to keep the tradition of these majestic sailing ships alive. The boat is beautiful, the food and wine superb and Sydney at sunset is striking.

Canapés Delicious

The great thing about this cruise is the charming crew, full of life and love for their job. The cruise is a step back in time, the wine and canapés delicious, the entertainment lovely. I could have gazed at the waves, the wind and the sails forever. If you love sailing, or being on the water this is an incredible way to experience Sydney Harbour.

Romantic All-Inclusive Night Out

Drinks and canapés were served in abundance as we motored out to Sydney Heads and the beautiful scenery passed us by. I would definitely do this again; it was a relaxing, romantic all-inclusive night out.

Great Experience – Highly Recommended

Great host in Andrew and Captain Andy and friendly crew. Great experience, much more interesting than your normal pre-recorded tour boats with no character. Book early as may be full and therefore unavailable on your stay in Sydney! Highly recommended. Kids 7 (boy)and 9 (girl) and both loved it.

New Year’s Eve Cruise on Coral Trekker

Dear Nice and all at Sydney Harbour Tall Ships, We want to thank you all for the most fantastic evening on board The Coral Trekker. Please pass on our thanks to the Captain ( Andrew ? ) and all his crew who made the evening so special . The food and the odd glass of Champagne were just right for the occasion. The main event and the reason for being on board The Coral Trekker — The Sydney Harbour New Years Eve Fireworks – Were way beyond our expectations and made all the more spectacular by the Captains ability to position his ship into the perfect viewing location. In our view the only way to see and enjoy the Sydney Harbour New Years Eve firework display is on board “ The Coral Trekker”. Well done everybody and wishing you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR and a Successful 2023.

Great Day Out on Sydney Harbour

I thought this trip was excellent with all the activities available, when it is over you want more! An awesome day on the harbour.

I can’t say enough for this activity it was FANTASTIC! As well as laser clay shooting they ran mast climbing where two people could climb the mast of the sip and hang out in the wind. I cannot recommend this enough people, get out there and take a sail with the boys! Also get involved in the activities as well, really makes the trip.

Loved the Southern Swan

We absolutely loved our time aboard the Southern Swan. Not only did it perfectly fit our theme (pirates, of course), but the crew went out of their way to really make sure we had a great time. Having done a few harbour cruises as part of team building and corporate exercises, this is definitely one that sticks out the most in my mind. Perfect way to enjoy Sydney Harbour

We took a 2.5h sunset cruise on the Soren Larsen for a large group from work.Sydney harbour is a real natural wonder and seeing it from a beautiful period boat was spectacular.The ship itself was wonderful (solid oak, real sails and rigging etc.) and had actually made the voyage from Denmark to Sydney. Plus, you could climb up it :-)The staff were knowledgable, entertaining and couldn’t have done more to look after us. Personally I really enjoyed learning about the history of the boat and it’s voyage around the world to reach Sydney.We also enjoyed food and drinks on board which were pretty varied and very good.Highlights of the trip were mast climbing, cruising back from shark island using wind power only and watching the sun go down to be replaced by the Vivid lights.Overall this was a great team event for us and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

This was our first visit to Australia, and we just finished a delightful 4-night stay at the Hyatt Regency Sydney. Upon concluding our South Pacific cruise, we arrived at the hotel around 9:00 AM to find our room wasn't ready yet. However, Qiana at the front desk kindly granted us access to the Regency Club on the 11th floor for breakfast and as a waiting area. By 3:00 PM, Joanne from the Regency Club informed us that our room, a complimentary upgrade to a Harbor View Balcony Suite on the 14th floor (Room #1402), was ready. The suite was spacious at 50 square meters, featuring a luxurious soaking tub. I was particularly impressed by the prompt delivery of our luggage and the roll-away bed requested for my son, ensuring his comfort. The room boasted a stunning view of Darling Harbour, was impeccably clean, serene, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We utilized a Guest of Honor award for our booking, which included complimentary daily breakfast and access to the Club (offering hors d'oeuvres and alcoholic drinks from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM). Breakfast at the Regency Club Lounge on the 11th floor was exceptional, highlighted by an omelette station where Chef Roman personally delivered our orders--a unique touch in all our stays at various Hyatt Regencies. Location-wise, the property is ideally situated: just 5 minutes from Darling Harbour, 10 minutes from the Queen Victoria Building, and approximately 15 minutes from Chinatown--an excellent base for exploring Sydney. Overall Experience: Our stay was truly exceptional, thanks to the extraordinary efforts of the Regency Club staff--Joanne, Forhad, Laura, and Kenta--who not only met but exceeded our expectations. They went above and beyond to ensure every moment of our stay in Sydney was memorable. 5/5 Stars!

Overall this is a great Hyatt in a super location with great views. I arrived early and kudos to (Xavier) who tried to find me a room only to find it was not ready. Nonetheless he found another - that's great Hyatt service. The buffet is decent may very chaotic and it took forever to get the basic coffee. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Overall nice stay.

AMAZING views to Darling Harbour. This hotel definitely felt fancy. The service was great, location was prime, traffic is heavy as expected. Definitely enjoyed it here just wish there were balconies. Rooms are spacious and clean, their breakfast is very nice with a great view as well. The breakfast options are actually really tasty too. Coffee at breakfast was amazing. Would love to stay here again

Located right by Darling Harbor! This hotel is located in the center of Sydney and within minutes walk to main city attractions. You can quickly get to Darling Harbour or shopping malls. The hotel offers access to nicely decorated bars (check out roof top bar) and restaurants on site. You can indulge with good quality drinks and foods. The room we stayed at was on the 11th floor. We didn't have a good view but the room was clean and modern. Addition of extra USB ports would be a bonus. There were only two ports so it's hard to change all your equipment especially when you stay at the hotel as a tourist. Customer service was very good!

Hotel seems clean and they offered sanitizing wipes which I thought was great, because I sometimes forget to pack my own. The hotel offer great blinds to block out any morning light that tends to disturb your sleep if you're wanting to sleep in and they offered filtered water and ice on our floor, not sure if it is offered on every floor, but I know my floor did. They also have an sensor lights in the closet and had adequate areas to hang your towels, so they can properly dry. I didn't check out the other amenities, but good location to places in the city.

Staff at hotel are friendly and attentive, esp the breakfast team - everyone from the lovely French girl with long hair, Camille, Mahmod (?) & the male waiter who swiftly collected all used plates/cups. The rooms were looking new and comfy. Switches include USB ports. There were switches for blinds and a sheer shade to be raised or lowered. Reading lights were easily accessible as well. The only thing I noticed is that on my floor, there was a strong smell of paint and a wing was closed as they were working refurbishing the place (?). Other than that, no problems with lifts/elevators accessibility or having to wait for them. Overall, a positive experience and will definitely stay again.

Oh so close to being a world class property, but too many glaring deficiencies permeate into every corner. Our stay started out with a hotel employee, who spoke nearly no english opening our room door, without permission or knocking ... then sticking his head in without any identification. I WAS LIVID. Absolutely no excuse for this behavior. He was supposedly bringing us two little cardboard contains of water, which was unasked for and obviously unwelcome. I called the desk and a manager came to the room and was apologetic and all, but at this point, nothing she said to me was of any consolation or value... she offered me something, which I didn't understand, her english was poor.... I just shut the door. We found so many cases of employees without sufficient training. Such as at Breakfast, wait staff are oblivious, uninterested and fail repeatedly to impress. Mind you this is a premier property, breakfast is $30, rooms are $400 and up. Very pretentious place for what is delivered. Dinner at the hotel in the Jackalberry was good, had the fettuccini, again, poorly English speaking staff. I joked to my wife that we had an easier time with language in France and Italy that in "english" speaking Australia. The Concierge was total uninterested in helping find a good coffee shop. The stay was ok, nice rooms, but the service in general was sorely lacking. The Aussie people are awesome however, everywhere we went.

The Hyatt is conveniently located on Sussex street which is a short walk to Darling Harbour and Hyde park. The lobby, restaurant and bar area give a 5 star hotel feel. However, the rooms are a bit old and on the small side. The hotel is facing Darling Harbour and I would recommend opting for a room with the view of the Harbour. Location: 5 stars Rooms: 3 stars Amenities: 3 stars Service: 4 stars Pros: Location is great Easy to get a taxi or Uber Service is good Cons: Mediocre gym Rooms are below average for the price Breakfast buffet is not very good

Read the other reviews- I wish we did and stayed else where. Small rooms as in 2 people struggle overnight, disappointing property for a Hyatt. Our stay was the worst hotel stay in the last decade. Tried to complain about check in, service, housekeeping, construction noise and the most senior person on site was a F and B supervisor. Not their fault. Where is the GM??? Lunch buffet embarrassing. At best it's a Hyatt Place or Hyatt house. Re brand and stop misleading people this is a 4 star hotel.

The Hyatt Regency was a bit disappointing compared to other ones that I have visited around the world. At check-in, we mentioned it is our anniversary and told we can go to bar for drinks. It wasn't clear which bar, so we asked another check in person, and we got our tickets. Typically a hotel will give a bottle of wine or champagne, so this was kind of cheap. At the lounge, one day we asked for takeaway food, and we were I initially denied at first. We asked another person, and she gave us a waiver to sign. I have never had to sign a waiver for lounge before. Our room and area near our room was quite nice, which saves this from a 1-star rating. But a lot of the hotel is kind of run down and smells like old socks.
